The Atlanta Braves

Said it multiple times, but they did not play a meaningful game for a very long time, prior to this series. The offense looked a bit off the moment they clinched and that carried over.
They had a similar look last year though, and they played a ton of really meaningful games down the stretch to come back and win the division. Remember last year some (including myself) thought maybe they gave everything they had to come back and beat the Mets and had nothing left for the Phillies. Now this year it's like "well, maybe they had too much time off." lol. If they need these ideal, perfect conditions to succeed, then maybe they aren't as good as we think they are.

Regardless of the circumstances, and they've been different in different years, they've wilted. It sucks.

Yep they played non stop meaningful games last season before the playoffs and looked just as dead and intimidated as this year

You could tell they were pressing early. They dropped good approaches and panicked and started just swinging for the fences.
It was like the bombs aren't coming and they didn't know what to do without them.

Not having Ian last two years has sucked. He was massive and always did a good job preventing runs in 2021. Last two years we’ve had to rely on injured Strider and Elder for game 3.

Let’s hope he comes back like his former self. Would be a huge boost

Kyle too.

It is easy to forget that the rotation this year was supposed to go Max, Spencer, Charlie, Kyle, and one of Elder/Bryse Wilson/etc. It ended up not being a drawback at all somehow, but Elder was our #2 starter for a significant portion of the season.

Feels good to be mad at the Braves again. I hadn’t been mad since August 2021.
Yeah same here. I didn't even have a chance to get frustrated during the Phils series last year because of how Vols football was performing, and Game 4 was the day of the Alabama game. It was weird because I am a huge Braves fan too, but I had zero interest in that game that day, lol.

If we and the Dodgers finish 1-2 next year we should play them in a 3 game series before the playoffs start
DOdger fan here ...I say they expand playoffs to 8 teams in each league and everybody plays 3 game series in 1st Round.. instead of sitting for a week...win win for MLB more money and T.V. exposure in October...
