The Atlanta Braves

Philly just has too much power pitching, but a lot of their stars are on the wrong side of 30. They don't play matchup in the regular season, but when the chips are down and they do in the post season they honestly have the best pen in the league.

However I don't want to beat them in a couple of years when they're declining I want to figure out how to beat them now in their prime.

I'm not sure what free agents are available or maybe make a trade, but we another quality, reliable starting pitcher.

And I don't mean some 37 year old that's past his prime or some max 89 mph fast ball dude that has a losing record.

Definitely true but Charlie Morton was one of their most reliable starters

If you look at the upcoming list on Spotrrac honestly it isn't that pretty.

I dont even know what teams will want to trade or if we even have the capital someone would be interested in.

I think maybe our best bet would be to see if Miluwakee wants to add some offense and ship Grissom off for one of their 3 headed monsters.

I'd settle for just beating them at all.

Right now, here’s who I have with guaranteed spots

Murphy
TDA

Olson
Albies
Arcia
Riley
Lopez

Ozuna
Harris
Acuna

Fried
Strider
Elder

Iglesias
Minter

Need two OF’s, two SP’s and probably 3 bullpen arms. Got to lengthen the lineup and add a true dude to add with Fried and Strider

Id bring Johnson and Jimenez back. Id get another lefty power arm.

Rosario has a $9M team option but I’d decline it. Unless they’re going to get a real starter.

Id sign Snell or call Milwaukee about one of Burnes or Peralta, but I don’t know if we have the prospects/young guys. Rodriguez or Nola wouldn’t be bad options. We can’t go in with Elder as our #3.

I said the same amount Miluwakee.
We will get Matzek back at some point too this season.
I agree that Elder can't be the 3.
I just hope AA doesn't rely on guys coming back from Tommy Jon to fix the rotation. If they can help great if not have other options ready.

I can’t tell which is more important, stud starter or LF.

The 6-9 portion of the lineup has been downright offensive the last two years.

Ozzie Regular Season OPS: .803
Ozzie Postseason OPS .656

I love Ozzie. But he’s got to get a better approach in the postseason

I think both are equally as important but if you asked me to spend at one over the other give me the starter. Reason being if if if they can all get hot at the same time Acuna, Ozzie, Riley, Olson can carry you through.

Having Elder to start game 3 is never the optimal choice.

Since we are on the topic of 6-9 I will circle back to this post.
I think we need several more upgrades then we care to admit.
Arcia, Murphy, Ozuna all had career years you expect regression coming from them, but I think you have to move on from Arcia and Ozuna.
Harris and Ronald I love them both, but they both need to spend this off season working on launch angle. They both have decent exit velos but that doesn't matter when they hitting worm burners across the infield.
We need to re sign Johnson for the pen. The stuff is real.

Just unbelievable that we got 5-6 on and the 7-8-9 guys saw 8 pitches knowing the entire goal was to get Ronnie up.

That’s just some inconceivable plate approaches there. Both Pillar and Rosario absolutely have to force two strikes there. Vaughn only one that did and could have been better if the zone didn’t expand
