The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness my old friend

Wasn't that Fredi?

Yes, Up by 1 and the pinch hitter cleared Fredi brought in David Carpenter instead of Kimbrel, who hadn’t pitched in two days, even after Carpenter gave up a double in 2013

Bobby used Kimbrel in the 9th in Game 3 of the 2010 DS against San Fran and took him out in the 9th with 2 outs for Mike Freaking Dunn who gave up the game winning single

I won't watch. Braves out them I'm out.

I still think we are in a good spot though. Tonight was an absolute must for Philly. We got our top 2 guys next and the bats are overdue to show up.

The only reason I’m not giving up complete hope is Spencer. I think he wants this moment.

It would help to freaking score a run and not leave 4 men on base in the first three innings

True. Give Spencer a 3 or 4 run lead and we should see a game 5.

I don’t think he will get fired by any stretch of the imagination. Because of the 10 run first, people forgot how badly he bungled the 2019 series. But overall the fanbase gives him positive reviews.

But tonight, the fanbase is angry and they want his head. This is the first time I’ve seen it. Now, like I said, I truly don’t believe they’d have the balls to make a move. But what is Snit, 68? Maybe some special assistant lifetime achievement award? The ownership/FO seems to at least listen to the fanbase some. I’m curious if it gets ugly tomorrow if they actually do anything.

Some Jeremy Pruitt “geez what do you want me to do” vibes this entire press conference

“You can second guess everything we do, if it doesn’t work it’s not the right move.”

Just a horrible, awful way to manage a team in any capacity. Just a guy who doesn’t get it.

“He just happened to hit a homer” to describe Bryce Harper is unintentionally one of the most hilarious ways to describe a future hall of famer

Anthopoulos has to earn his salary this off season and find an experienced veteran who will not choke during the post season and will complement Fried and Strider.

Fried and Strider desperately need to give this team quality starts over the next couple of games.

Offense just needs to RELAX at the plate.

It’s absolutely stupid to give the other team anything like that to rally around in the middle of a series. Arcia is an idiot for doing it and why the crap was he celebrating a single game win anyway? Yes it was a great comeback but the Braves should be the team expecting to win. Save the trash talk for after you win the series.

It wasn't trash talk. He didn't say it in a post game presser, he said it in the locker room after a huge come from behind playoff win and the media got it out there. Asking players not a celebrate after a big win or not talk **** about their opponent in their own locker room is asinine.

Maybe, but to me Bryce Harper will always be the PUNK. He earned that moniker when with the Nationals & is still stands IMO.

Is it? He talked crap and Harper tore it up. Seems like doing that around media was asinine.

Edit: And I’m sorry but celebrating a single win in a 5-game series is stupid to me. I get some jubilation but one win in the postseason means jack. Surely you understand that. I don’t recall past Braves teams going nuts after a game 2 win when they split at home. But even if you do celebrate you can do it without calling out the other team’s star player in the middle of the series. He called Harper out and Harper responded. Will Arcia respond with his play now?

Its not even the pitching that has me down. Its the offense has looked completely anemic through 3 games. We are still late on every fastball we see.
Even if Spencer only gives up 3 or 4, I dont think we can score that much with Philly just challenging us with 99.

There was no “callout.” He said it amongst teammates.
