Watch,, it!! Health, exercise etc.

Back in 21 I was wearing a $40 watch because I knew if I got into a more expensive one I'd end up spending hunerts trying to find exactly what I wanted and probably never be 100% satisfied.

I was right. Lol.

Are you aware of " developers options" on your watch? I learned about it on my 4 Classic and was just accessing it and wondered if you knew about it.

Nope, I haven't seent it
I'm too skeert to mess with most of it, but the 3 "animation scales" I turned off and it makes a pretty big difference.

If your interested in checking it out..

Go to settings on the watch
Go all the way down to about watch
Go to software information
Then to software version.

Then tap on software version fast 5 or 6 times. It will add Developers options at the very bottom of Settings.

Curiosity is killin me. You haven't told me hardly anything about your watch and only given me pretty much 1 word answers to my questions. So I'm fine with 1 word answers now, but I gots several questions.

1. Are you happy with your purchase?
2. Do you have a favorite face? Which one?
3. What's your favorite thing about it?
4. Are you satisfied with its overall accuracy?

I traded my 5pro for the 6 Classic. I'm wearing it and the Garmin just to compare. They are amazingly close on most things except for sleep stages and I have no clue, but I feel the Garmin is probably more accurate. But again, I don't know.

That's all.

I sort of want to do this with my watch and Fitbit for sleep. Are you wearing one on each wrist, or both on your left? (or right)

2. Do you have a favorite face? Which one? NOT REALLY, I LIKE ROTATING THROUGH THEM...BUT I PROBABLY PREFER THE ONES THAT ARE LESS "BUSY".
3. What's your favorite thing about it? THAT IT CAN PLAY ALL OF MY GIFS REGARDLESS OF FILE SIZE (@ FREAK). BUT SERIOUSLY MY FAVORITE THANG IS PROBABLY IT'S ABILITY TO BE CHARGED WIRELESSLY WITH MY PHONE. THAT'S PRETTY KEWL... ESPECIALLY SINCE THE BATTERY LIFE SUCKS LIKE TFG & JOE IN A TRUCK STOP BATHROOM.
4. Are you satisfied with its overall accuracy? YES, IT SEEMS TO BE PRETTY ACCURATE FOR EVERYTHING THAT MATTERS.

Glad you told me I'd never have figured that out.

My favorite thing about Samsung is "reminders" and being able to respond to texts. If you haven't already download Gboard, I have that on my watch and phone. So much better.

Glad you like it.

Without going through this thread, you have the Samsung 6 and a Garmin? My Samsung 2 is dying a slow death. Not really wanting to change, but the watch is telling me otherwise.

I'm just so surprised to see you I don't know what to say!!

I got a free galaxy 4 then traded it for a 5 pro and traded the 5 pro for the new 6. It's a long story but yes, I have both.

The "Smart" part of the Samsung is top notch, especially if you have a Samsung phone. I got the 6 Classic because of the larger size and it's visually awesome. Battery still sucks like it always has but I was so used to charging it every night anyway it's not an issue.

I received a fabric band with my pre-ordered watch. I didn't think I'd like it but I read comments that everybody loves it so I tried it this morning. It's not my favorite aesthetically, but it's very functional. My new favorite.

Fyi.

Thanks. I'm hoping for some holiday deals this weekend.

Just thought I'd let you know, if your numbers are still all wacked don't feel alone.

It's really weird. I think it (the watch) knows something. Lol. I don't feel great and the numbers show it. My average sleep score went from 81 to 47 in the the last 2 months. Mostly due to stress. That's where it's weird.

My stress numbers went from 15 and below to 38 to 55 ....at night. For several weeks now I get hardly any rest (blue) at night. I think I might have Covid just not a bad case of it.??!!?? Idk.

This is was last night and pretty much what its looked like every day for a month. Anyway, hope you're doing better.

I stopped wearing the Samsung. It was really close in some ways, but not close enough in those ways, and way off on the rest.

Whew, that looks awful.

Just checked, and I don’t seem to have a stress indicator on mine. Which is good, b/c I have no doubt that monitoring stress levels would raise my stress levels.

I just sleep. Halfway decent last night. More deep sleep than I usually see:

I believe the stress is from an underlying medical condition. It's not just worry/anxiety type stress. I noticed this started when I got sick back in June. I didn't think much of it because I was sick and wasn't running. And went off my normal diet.

Shew, two months is a long time. I hope it resolves soon.

My sleep has been off since I got Covid. It was starting to get slightly better right before mom’s surgery, but has been off ever since. Obviously I’ve been stressed, anxious, and depressed for the past week and the numbers show it. Just going for 3-4 mile walks and it tells me I need lots and lots of rest and to take rest days. I’m off the next ten days as well. Work has been great letting me go through all this. I’m hoping I can recuperate this next week and a half and maybe start to find my new normal.

It probably doesn’t help that I’ve been eating like crap too. So much Southern comfort foods have been brought to their house and we’ve been mostly eating that. Stopping that today will be step one.

We had the memorial/celebration service Saturday at their church. It was beautiful. I made a picture slide show, mom’s favorite singer from the church sang Amazing Grace, and even though the new interim pastor barely knew my mom, his message was incredible. Just beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. I’m getting better, starting to process it all, just so much to get done last week helping out my dad sort through their bills and how to pay them, etc. Mom did all that. Still doing the last bit of it today.

I hope you and potentially your doctor can figure out if something is ailing you friend. And if there is something, I hope it’s an easy fix. Only reason I even went to the doctor was I had a 100.4 temp. Never imagined it was COVID. Finding out that’s what it was kinda was wild.

One thing that’s bugging me, the golf yardage feature is great, but it’s been having hiccups lately. I’ll get to hole 8 or so, and it will know the yardage off the tee, but then freezes, and doesn’t adjust yardages as I get closer to the hole. I can close it and restart it and it works fine. I’ll try to investigate that while I’m on leave/vacation.

Anyways, good luck man.
