My high school out there played in a 7,500 seat stadium. They won 2 games in 3 years.

My basketball team made the State Tournament. We had to do bikini car washes to raise money to travel to State.

The last high school that I attended had 1400 students when I enrolled and a little over 700 when at last I graduated. We barely fielded a football team that final fall term, and the band only had 29 members. A number of players played both ways and special teams. The band did quick marches into formations to drum cadences, pointed every horn towards the main stands, and played as loud as we could. The football team won two games that fall, one was at a large new school, 29-6. Their band had ~90 members and included an electric combo on a platform. The bus ride home was raucous!
