The Atlanta Braves

I'm hearing from some folks comments like "This will soften the market for long term deals" given what's happened with Franco and Tatis. Projecting a decline in performance is one thing. How are teams supposed to know a guy is a potential pedo or does roids?

I gotta think there is some sort of morality clause in Franco’s contract

Probably so, but I imagine those things are really hard to exercise. Just look at the Ozuna situation.
Definitely going to come down to the league. Suspension, banned from league, etc depending on whatever the outcome is. The Rays aren’t going to be able to just stop paying him.

I won't defend that complete scrub, but I'll state the obvious. If McHugh pitches with a pulse last night, YC gives up maybe 4 and at least they get roughly what they want - some innings eaten and we're still in the game. No doubt though, that guy shouldn't be getting starts.

McHugh should have done his job I agree. My only complaint would be that they used a better reliever with bases loaded but I know everyone has to have “their innings” so it’s not worth bitching about lol

I don't get the fascination with stretching out a scrub starter when it's obvious he's a time bomb out there. Once you get 4+ innings and get through the lineup twice, Snit has to be ready to run to the mound and yank him a batter or two sooner.

Yes. Limit the length of the not so good pitchers. After 4 innings, very short leash. Especially if the pen is rested and even more so when we are carrying a few multi-inning meh guys. Give McHugh a clean inning and maybe he’s okay for 5-6 outs. He’s not going to bail you out of a bases loaded jam. Similar with Tonkin.

And now for the least shocking news in the history of mankind

Call me naive, but I am a little surprised that the embellishment of the story allegedly went as far as him not even being legally adopted by them. It seems like that would have been an easy thing to figure out was a lie, but I guess not.

It's been generally accepted for a long time that the movie is full of a ton of "artistic liberties" that never happened.

I am pretty close to this in many ways. The tuohys are scum of the earth people. I have always been extremely skeptical of this entire situation. It’s still jolted me just a little to see that they never actually adopted him after parading that narrative for so long.

I knew they were scum but didn’t think they were so stupid. Did you think he would never find out?

Excluded from the movie profits?? Haha how moronic
It always felt like this plantation mentality might be lurking in the background, but that's a special kind of brazen if true.
