The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

LOL.

Republicans gained 9 seats in the House of Representatives in a mid-term election year, as the out-of-power party. By comparison, Democrats gained 40 seats in the House of Representatives in the 2018 mid-term elections, as the out-of-power party.

Only gaining 9 seats in the House of Representatives, in a mid-term election year, for the power which is out-of-power, is an awful showing by any historical standard.
I will grant you it was nothing like when Obummer was President. I mean, good Lord. At every level of Govt, the losses just kept coming! Not to mention how often the SCOTUS just shot him down time and time again. And then to hand his presidency off to a reality TV show host with zero political experience. What a legacy!

Yahn yes you’ve beat this to death and facts remain you lost. The plastic drunk Pelosi is no longer the speaker. The end goal was to win the house back, mission accomplished
Gaining 9 seats in the House was not what Republicans were expecting when they forecasted a "Red Wave."

... and good luck holding onto George Santos's seat, by the way.

Agreed.

No out-of-power party has ever done as poorly in a mid-term election cycle as Republicans did in 2022. Republicans gained 62 seats in the House in 2010, by comparison.

And their reaction to that underwhelming performance is to double down on the reason they've driven so many away. Trump.

January 6 Committee Destroyed Records, Videos; Trump’s Rights Violated

GettyImages-1236945829-640x480.png

The January 6 Committee defied a demand last year by incoming Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) that it preserve all of its records, evidence, and transcripts, and has destroyed much of what it collected over more than a year of investigation.

Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) made that revelation to Fox News Digital on Tuesday, also noting that the committee had not looked into possible security lapses at the Capitol, and that much of the material the committee did preserve was disorganized.

The House select committee that investigated the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021 failed to adequately preserve documents, data and video depositions – including communications it had with the Biden White House that are still missing – according to the Republican lawmaker overseeing the GOP investigation into the committee’s work.

So who is the flawless person you would have evangelicals vote for?
The last few general elections.

Trump= “Grab em by the pu***”. Disqualified
Biden=Plagiarist and friends with KKK members. Disqualified

Hillary=Caught in countless lies. Prominent abortion advocate.

Obama in 2012= Lied to the entire country about being able to keep their Doctor in order to pass legislation. Also used drones to kill children

Romney= Completely unethical businessman among other things.

Evangelicals have a flawless person they follow. Not waiting on a flawless politician.

Romney had a chance but he is a Morman so kinda against the whole Christian thing.

Obama used the drones in the holy war perpetuated by the good book and/or whatever dumb shite Rumsfield and chaney made up so that would fly, pun intended.

You forgot the real reason evangelicals couldn't support Obama.

Posting Blind.

Not going to Argue but DJT's ultimate goal was to create total choas on 6 Jan.
The memo if true is daming. I suspect it is.
His twitter Account DMs I suspect will be another brick on the wall.
The J6 judge will move very quickly.
GA kicks off next week.
The plan to use Military force with illegal orders to thwart protests for the Chaos that he created.
No telling what is going to happen to the "Save America" PAC funds.

So add these thoughts to the above.
Smith alleged that Trump illegally:

(1) pressured state election officials to declare that Trump won the states they represent (even though he did not);
(2) attempted to send “fake electors” to vote in the Electoral College (even though they had no power to vote);
(3) tried to get members of the Justice Department to endorse the idea that there was election fraud (even though there was not);
(4) sought to get then-Vice President Mike Pence to refuse to certify the Electoral College votes (even though he had no constitutional authority to do so); and
(5) supported an angry mob who attempted to prevent the certification of the Electoral College.

It is copied and pasted but it is pretty clear this is a pretty close analysis of what Trump did. It is getting easier to prove daily.

1st Amendment rights violated, I don't think so, Don.

Next Up is GA. Who cares who Willis slept with? I would not sleep with her. She has the goods on him and he is panic. Of course her indictments span out to more than Trump so some are worried.

It is close to being over... Now start digging into Biden and start a thread and maybe we will get two decent candidates to run for President.

If or when they find Biden guilty, the two must share a cell.

See above in red. Overall, we’re not far off.

Probably not too far off. Most people really aren't that far off. Well, at least they didn't used to be.

Maybe, just maybe, this brings more transparency and scares off more narcissists and kinda levels off.

O yeah, if or when the last two Presidents are imprisoned then they should share a cell.

I know you and Orangeboro are all confused about genders. Maybe yall can audit a class down in Flawda.
Oh. No I’m good. I don’t need a class or pursue a career in biology to know what a woman is. I’m not a democrat.

For the record, I don’t think Michelle is a tranny. I do think her husband is terrible though.

O good, seems like you were a little confused there for minute.

Martin Luther once said he would rather be governed by a competent Turk than an incompetent Christian. I don’t think Romney was a bad choice for Christians. He would have been a competent president, he has principles or beliefs that go beyond just being a party member, and I think he would have been committed to doing what he thought was best.

He just ran up against a better candidate.

Trump bigly mad.

Jack Smith missed his calling and time window. He would have been a great stand in for Roland Freisler. One of those Nazi judges who wore red dresses and handed out death sentences like candy at Halloween.

If we had a picture of the cover, that would tell us a lot. We would know the brand and who manufactured it, how old it was and have a better feel for whether or not it was possible for the contents of the diary to have been altered.

I'd imagine the people examining the diary would know that and know how to look for false entries. Of course, since those people are the FBI, you never know for sure - and certainly have every reason to doubt both their competence and honesty. Since you aren't getting your hands on the book and aren't qualified to do the forensics, it really doesn't matter if you see the cover or not.

He thinks he’s right to the extreme. He wants to be remembered because he’s a narcissist. An “extreme” narcissist. In my opinion he thinks that he will be remembered as “great” regardless of what happens today. He runs over people. He destroys them. Friends/enemies….it doesn’t matter. Anyone he thinks might be a problem is run down in a very public way. To install what he thinks is the obvious answer. And while I agree with some of his positions, like deregulation and streamlining the permitting process, there’s an overwhelming list of things that he does that prevent me from even mentioning or supporting them.

It would be nice to have the opportunity to elect a decent person wanting to do several of the things Trump did or tried to do. I honestly think the dems and the press would crush such an individual though. The thing I will say for Trump is he didn't let them crush him; I do think they succeeded in bringing out the worst of Trump's personality. That's the one thing I hope republicans took away from the episode and one day repay in spades. The only other president in my lifetime to have been hounded by the press and dems similarly to Trump was Nixon. The press hated both and the dems jumped on the opportunity created by the press - like sharks with blood in the water.

Because people were tired of lunacy and if it took a narcissist to throw a wrench in it then so be it.

Name a presidential or congressional candidate who isn't a narcissist. When it comes right down to it, you probably won't find a normal human who believes he is suited for the job (meaning better than everybody else) and willing to go through the motions necessary to be elected. We really would be better off just pulling names like selecting people for jury duty - it couldn't be worse than what we're doing now.
