I may have one of those too, but she hasn't had much to say about how superior dems are lately. She is an aunt by marriage - the only one of that generation surviving on my mother's side.

OK all of you election deniers.

It seems the DeSantis campaign is shifting its approach. They are now calling "Stop the Steal" a scam, "a Ponzi scheme.' Something that Trump did just to defraud his followers.

The statements today came from DeSantis communications head, Christina Pushaw. But a DeSantis affiliated radio personality, Steve Deace started it last week after Giuliani admitted he had lied about the fraud allegations.

There are all these Repubs, including people like Jason Miller, who have said they knew their allegations are false. Yet you guys do your lemming acts and scream voter fraud over and over without proving a single case of systemic fraud. Plus more than half the actually prosecuted cases involve Repubs illegally voting.

You guys are just freaking pitiful.

Basically a lame nod to the oil and gas industry and disregard for the future. Yes, fossil fuels have been, and continue to be, crucial to global industrial development. I like my gas-powered home. But renewable energy sources are becoming increasingly important and in the future will generate a majority of our energy. They HAVE to, because oil and gas are finite resources--they WILL run out. In 50 years nobody would be silly enough to make the above statement. Also, nuclear energy is hugely important in many countries, including the U.S., and it is not a fossil fuel. (It is fissile fuel.) Were it not for the waste disposal issue, we'd be building lots more nukes, probably.

4. Reverse racism is racism.

Ha: This is just the stupid, old right-wing line aimed at deflecting the obvious reality that many right-wingers are, in fact, racist. How to counter that? By claiming that black is white.

5. An open border is no border.

Completely false. The U.S. border is in no way "open." Another hoary GOP talking point when Dems are in power. Hardly perennial: "immigrant rapists and murderers are pouring across the border!!!" This was a big fear-mongering classic for the gangster. Also, crime is bad, our defense has got weaker, and the government spends too much money. These have been the GOP political talking points for the last 50 years, and will surely remain so for the next 50.

6. Parents determine the education of their children.

Dumb. Since when? Are they setting curriculum? Teaching classes? This is just an outgrowth of right-wing paranoia about sexuality and the nonsense that
schools are trying to "indoctrinate" kids into being gay, blah blah. Half the parents in America barely made it out of crappy high schools and don't
know the first freakin' thing about education.
