That's called a round trip right there.Life comes at you fastView attachment 565896
It was a legitimate question. FG has Ohtani 25th on their trade value column and Ozzie 31. Trade simulators have Ozzie’s value higher than Ohtani’s considering the contract Ozzie has.
To be clear, you are tripling down? Because literally no one would make that trade. They would contract the Los Angeles angels of Anaheim organization for agreeing to that. David stern would return from the grave to send Chris Paul back to New Orleans.
ozzie albies has been a 4 win player one time in 2019 and is not projected to do so ever againI think it is a legitimate discussion yes. 4 WIN players don’t grow on trees. 4 win players under team control for the next 4 years at $7M per is extremely rare. Ozzie would make more in arbitration honestly. Ohtani would be a two month rental.
Straight up? Probably doesn’t get it done. It was a starting point. I think if the trade actually happened the reception would be “decent return for a guy who is leaving in two months.”

Ohtani is arguably the most talented baseball player in the history of the planet.
it’s not even a starting point and you’d be certifiably insane to not make that trade in anything less than a millisecond
