My wife’s grandfather is about to turn 96. WWll vet. Been a lifelong dem. He would have crawled over hot coals and broken glass for Bill Clinton. He’s still a registered dem but realized in 2008 the party left him, even worse now he says they are run by radicals which they are. He voted Trump last 2 elections and will do so again if he’s lucky enough to be around still in Nov 2024

Having worked there for a relatively short time is a plus in my assessment. Had he been a retiree, not so much. I figure you're going to hate this, but if either of them manage to get the nomination, I hope Christie will be the VP choice

I feel Christie is the most well rounded, pardon the pun, and well versed on most issues. VPs don't make the decisions, but can provide sound advice and be a voice of reason against radicals in the party
