The original Corky’s in Memphis was good back when I ate there in the 90s. But the owner kept that one and franchised out the rest. So the franchises ones aren’t nearly as good.

Yes the one I have ate at is franchised by Collier it's located in Pigeon Forge!!

While decent, Corky's is now down the list in Memphis.

Anyone that chooses Corky’s over the other BBQ Places in Memphis has a few screws loose. Central BBQ helped cater my wedding.

I grew up out east, so I’m partial to the Commissary. One and Only has some very good items on the menu. I ate at the BBQ Shop in the last several months for the first time in a long time and miss going more often.

BBQ Shop is great. I lived in Downtown Memphis for 10 years.

It’s fine. But I wouldn’t put it at the top few. I work downtown, so we may go every once in a while.

BBQ Shop is great. I lived in Downtown Memphis for 10 years.

I watch the cooking channel sometimes and there was a BBQ place in Memphis They visit on Tripe D can't remember the name of the place but it is known U.S. wide!!!

I’ll say this about BBQ. It seems the older I get the more beer I drink while i do it and the longer the “hangover” is before I want it again. That smell just sticks with you longer than the younger days

Worked for the Colliers right out of UT and spent a lot of time at that restaurant. My job was to handle complaints from all of the restaurants under the Collier umbrella. You’d be surprised how many northern tourists don’t understand that the pink in the meat is from smoke, not the meat being raw.

Rooney isn’t an LSU guy. He covers the CWS for ESPN and works for D1 Baseball as well I believe
