I'm just curious because it seems like one side has one understanding of what it means and the other side has another understanding.

Can we clarify what these terms mean so that we can move the discussion forward and have an honest dialogue?

You actively cheer for a man who persecutes gay and lesbian people for being gay and lesbian. An honest discussion begins with you and he both admitting that they are human beings.

I’m curious as to why you brought this up….if you don’t mind me asking

If you are attracted to same sex and never "come out" or engage in any physical or emotional connection due to whatever stigmas or backlash you are afraid of.........you are still gay. Just a little more miserable.
I feel like this is thread is gonna turn into the scene from 40 year old virgin.

“You know how I know you’re gay? You like Coldplay” 😂

I've known people in hetero marriages whose partner had an emotional or sexual relationship but were attracted to people of same sex.
I guess we could clarify gay in application versus gay in attraction.

I think the attraction part is all you need....and if you think the completion part is requisite, then you're probably bi or gay.
Could be. K Town offered that as well.

Would people who have shifting attractions be shifting to and from gay during those periods?

I would assume they're bi.

But assumptions generally lead to trouble, so what do I know?

Do people shift?
That's the question. People experiment with sexual expression. Are they gay when attracted to same sex and latently gay when not? One gay experience is gay for life?
I dont know these answers. But when I think of my gay friends who are "devoutly " gay, they are in one seeking emotional and physical intimacy in a long term pair bond.

I would say if you can get it up for one same sex experience then you are at least bi, but IDK.

Yes. Promoting acceptance is divisive.

Thread going to PF in 3.....2.......

I don’t remember it being an issue long ago. Liberace. Paul Lynde. Charles Nelson-Reilly. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Elton John. RuPaul’s Drag Show. Nobody really cared because the Leftists weren’t hyping it up by pushing the sexualization onto kids.

It’s now being pulled from the Leftist toolkit with the intent to divide.
