If it is strictly a business decision for the young man than we need to assume until proven otherwise he made the best business decision which landed him potentially at Tennessee. This would then lead me to hope he is all business and takes his job seriously. Sometimes people who are all business work out just fine in football and other ventures. All I hope is he is wearing the power T and making other opposing players make business decisions about their future when they see this young man barreling down on them. I highly doubt he can spend 3 plus years in Knoxville and not fall in love with the whole experience if we land him.

I understand your thought process and I agree that a kid who loves Tennessee and wants to be here prior to thinking about money etc is unfortunately out the window sometimes in college athletics. With the current landscape of college football, it has unfortunately become an integral part of the kid and his family's thoughts. Whether those thoughts align with the way things used to be or we want them to be, I highly doubt a kid is going to take it easy on UF bc they liked them better out of high school and if it weren't for a little more money he'd be on the other sideline. When this dude runs through the T at home or tunnel on the road, all of it goes out the window. I simply say that if he is able to turn the intensity on and off depending on which school he is playing, he shouldn't be playing. I really wish kids went to schools they dreamed of growing up or their parents raised them to love but it's just not the case anymore. If anything, it's an outlier these days. Do we all believe that every Tennessee football player is there bc Tennessee was nicer to them or made them feel closer to home? I know a bunch of Miami recruits, Ohio State recruits, etc etc that probably couldn't tell you what city each school was located in or the name of the stadium. It's not new to recruiting at all. It simply has surfaced above ground with little to no guardrails yet. I am almost positive that alot of late 90's talent from Georgia and surrounding states didn't cheer for the Vols growing up. What could have possibly made the decision for a Georgia highschool football star who has millions of people in his ear to stay home, head up to Knoxville?.... I bet his thoughts were never captured in interview or written about in an article for 9.99.

They wore them against Vandy the last time they played. I was passing through Fort Collins and went to the game. Thought I’d wear my Vols shirt and stand out but when I showed up I was like “well, ****”
