I’m laughing at why you think your question matters. It’s pretty straight forward. If your earning potential from your chosen degree isn’t high enough to support living expenses and pay off your projected student loans then don’t take out the damn loans. Yes, it’s actually that simple. You’re welcome.Sooo...not gonna answer. Don't blame you.
He's bragging about "buckling down" and getting a 15k loan paid off. Big whoop. I'm laughing at you for thinking it doesn't matter the difference in tuition over the last 40 years. Y'all boomers paid 10k for a college degree, 4k for a new car, 40k for a new house. Boomers literally had everything the needed pretty much readily available to them and all they had to do was not **** it up, and refuse to see how it is completely different today.I’m laughing at why you think your question matters. You’re laughing at me for showing how simple the decision logic is? Makes sense apparently basic accounting escapes you, never mind finance and the time value of money. And while posting idiotic numbers like that as what I was only liable for? He's bragging about "buckling down" and getting a 15k loan paid off. Big whoop. I wish I could go back to 17 year old me and tell me DO NOT go to college, but my boomer parents drilled it into my head if I didn't go to college I'd always be poor.
So, instead of blaming the dems for lying to you about them paying your loans off or the GOP for making you take responsibility for your loans, you should be blaming your parents for forcing you to go to school. He's bragging about "buckling down" and getting a 15k loan paid off. Jealous of boomer's life and financial situation. Listened to boomer parents. Now regret following their advice. He's bragging about "buckling down" and getting a 15k loan paid off. Big whoop. Oh my god. You went to college? He's bragging about "buckling down" and getting a 15k loan paid off. Big whoop. How about he blames himself for not being able to do some basic Microsoft Excel spreadsheet math on helping with a decision that could financially hinder him for the rest of his life? Naaaaaaaah, can’t be that. So, instead of blaming the dems for lying to you about them paying your loans off or the GOP for making you take responsibility for your loans, you should be blaming your parents for forcing you to go to school.
Oh I’d be careful on that leap. I think he’s just between what party he has to blame next for his own personal finance choices.Jealous of boomer's life and financial situation. Listened to boomer parents. Now regret following their advice.
At least you're finally thinking for yourself for a change.
Simple, really. You’re laughing at me for showing how simple the decision logic is? Makes sense apparently basic accounting escapes you, never mind finance and the time value of money. And while posting idiotic numbers like that as what I was only liable for?I don’t blame you if I were you I’d tell my younger self to blow off that criminal Justice degree too based on the earning potential. And LMAO at deflecting blame onto your parents for your lot in life after college.
If you can’t pay it back don’t borrow the money. I don’t care if it’s for your college degree, your house, or your new blow up love slave.
Oh I think it’s easier than that. Get the government out of backing student loans and make them disposable via bankruptcy. The amount of money available for idiots to fulfill their lifelong dream of studying ancient Sumerian pottery and basket making would dry up overnight.Simple, really.
Regulate tuition prices. Ration student loans to stem, business, and all vocations which have robust salaries. All other degrees go to community college and low-cost state schools.
I never expected my loans to be forgiven. I still don't. If they were - cool. I'm not gonna complain. But you won't catch me on here crying about them not being forgiven. So, instead of blaming the dems for lying to you about them paying your loans off or the GOP for making you take responsibility for your loans, you should be blaming your parents for forcing you to go to school.
I guess if I'm jealous of one thing, it's just how easy boomers had it to achieve the American dream. It was basically handed to them. And they won't acknowledge it. They just think young people are stupid and lazy.Jealous of boomer's life and financial situation. Listened to boomer parents. Now regret following their advice.

Remove the tax payers from backing student loans is the best solution possible. But the country will never go back to that way of doing things. People like swampy require Uncle Sam to protect them from themselves. Predatory colleges offering worthless degrees for a hundred thousand dollars plus is the place where regulation can stop students from making stupid decisions.Oh I think it’s easier than that. I will say I’m amenable to one slush fund clause. Fields like primary and secondary education. We’ve got to do something to raise the bar on teacher talent and career viability. Not everyone is going to make school principal or administrator and see the big bucks. Most are going to be lifelong teachers. It’s one of the last noble fields I see left.
If it is any consolation at all, the older generation has been lamenting the younger generation for millennia. Seriously, Egyptian papyri has been found complaining of the younger Egyptians work ethic and morality. You and I will do it, too, more than likely.I guess if I'm jealous of one thing, it's just how easy boomers had it to achieve the American dream. It was basically handed to them. I know you’re right but it still pisses me off. There is a whole society of college professors whose livelihood relies on continued bloated tuition prices to support.Remove the tax payers from backing student loans is the best solution possible.
