"An implosion or explosion in the general vicinity." Do you think this was a PR blunder or part of the plan to distract from Hunter Biden news?
its up to the DoD to release what it feels like it needs to release.I'm not sure why we should expect the navy to come out and publicly announce a lot of things about information they obtained from their submarine surveillance program at all, let alone in conjunction with a civilian rescue mission.
Given that Weiss was the one who pursued it and struck the deal, how does it matter?
Venue. You have to bring charges in the area where the crimes occurred. Hunter lives in CA so the gun charges would have to be brought by the US Attorney in CA and the tax charges in DC where they were prepared. Both Obama appointed US Attorneys in DC and CA said no dice.
Truthfully, I'm surprised that so many people are surprised.
@Orangeslice13 has been saying that nothing's going to happen for years. He's yet to be proven wrong.
Political connections are a thing - hell, it's part of having "power."
The absolute hilarious irony is that the US attorney that did go after Biden and slapped his wrist was Trump appointed.
derp.

Detecting an underwater implosion isn’t part of the Navy’s advanced submarine surveillance program though.
They could have simply said - we detected an acoustic anomaly that is consistent with a submersible implosion at blank hour.
That’s it. And none of this other stuff gets legs.
You missed a golden opportunity for Nazi rocket scientists here. Nazi rocket subs.Did the fact that the navy heard what they assumed to be an explosion prove they were dead? Hell, if they'd announced the sub disappeared and they'd heard an explosion on Sunday; there'd just be a different conspiracy theory floating around. Probably something like a joint cia/Ukrainian mission to blow up the secret dominion election servers which had been hidden in the titanic.
Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't - while I don't always agree with him, I also haven't put him into a box. I think the people who are screeching loudest about trump, hunter and the DOJ are also the trumpers who probably followed the Qanon thread with keen interest.
Do you think he was being sarcastic when he commented on this? I certainly didn't.
Isn't it odd to see neo-liberals fighting hand over fist for a tax cheat? What more had Hunter hid? I think we know a lot of it.
The Biden's are not out if the woods yet though.
I like to keep a few different conspiracies in my pocket. What I'm saying is, at that point they can make the assumption that it was the sub implosion; but you don't have definitive proof. For all they knew, it could have been Captain Tupelov's boat getting torpedoed. You missed a golden opportunity for Nazi rocket scientists here. Nazi rocket subs.
And yes, that meant they had perished. No one survives that.
Question. Is it expected that a political appointee retained after a change in administration stay loyal to the administration that appointed them? Or do most go with the flow of the new administration in order to keep their jobs?
I'd have to know more about what he is accused of, what he was investigated for, what evidence the DOJ actually had, and what people with similar criminal histories charged with the same crimes were offered.More than likely a PR blunder. The hunter news is already out there. Even CNN is putting words to it. Do you agree with hunter getting off with probation essentially?
