You better believe he's a damn fine role model. Easily the best role model of any of our men's coaches the last 40 years. Also probably the best coach of all men's sports over the past 40 years.

All the people who actually know him well - players, parents, other Vol coaches, administrators,etc. - have enormous respect for him and affirm him as a top shelf role model. Are they all wrong? Are you, as someone who doesn't actually know him, a better judge of his character?

So did Mike Gundy-UT came calling. let’s hear how saintly he is. He’s done that good deed more than Barnes.

Also-CTV has never been the subject of confirmed offers where he had to go back to UT. Stop spreading lies or post proof. You don’t have to disparage our other coaches to make Barnes look better but you do this anytime Barnes is critiqued. Even if we concede he’s a great coach, which I said. Barnes isn’t God (he’d be the first to tell you) so not sure why you act as if he’s infallible and drag down quality guys like Vitello.

If you don’t think that Vitello has “evaluated his options” then you aren’t aware of reality. .

Fulmer absolutely shopped his name as did Pearl.

You’re the poster spreading lies.

You’re also failing to see where the back and forth started. It began with a troll in the baseball forum posting disparaging remarks, out of left field, about Barnes. The mods moved his crap here.

I’m not talking about Pearl or Fulmer-not contesting that they did shop and they’re not the level of moral character of Barnes and Vitello. You’re making a fallacious strawman argument that I did when it’s clear to anyone with a elementary school reading level that I didn’t contest that. I’m referring to the baseless accusations you’re making on CTV. If you’ve got proof-post it. Otherwise you’re full of bull excrement and are smearing another coach without proof to make another coach look better.

Don’t accuse me of lying when you can’t even post proof of something I lied about. It makes you look VERY stupid. I praised Barnes and said that the UCLA incident is “perhaps” it’s the only questionable character decision he’s made while here.

Lastly, don’t complain about another poster smearing the good name of a coach when you literally did the exact same thing with your baseless accusations on Vitello.

No doubt, Vitello has EVALUATED HIS OPTIONS. If you believe otherwise you might still be in elementary school or at least the most naive poster in the BBF.

Your lies are that I’m spreading lies, I’m disparaging other coaches “to make Barnes look better” and I do it “anytime Bsrnes is critiqued”, and that I act like Barnes is infallible (even God-like), and that I’m dragging down quality guys like Vitello. In fact the entire thread in the baseball forum does just that using Vitello as the infallible comparison. The thread was bashing Barnes starting with the title.

Post #5752 was the first post in the Baseball Forum. The purpose of that thread was 100% to disparage CRB. Here it is:

(Now deleted thread title taking a shot at Barnes) more times in the past 3 seasons than our basketball program in it's entire history. And doing this having facilities that are no where near competitive with the basketball ccomplex.

Also have won as many SEC tourneys in the last 2 years as basketball in the past 44.

Someday we will have a Tony V or Josh as basketball coach.

Evaluated his options is completely different than speaking with other programs and getting a counter-offer from your current school. You made the fallacious false equivalency that he’s done so in equating his actions to Barnes. They’re not the same. You couldn’t provide proof of this, which is why I stated you’re spreading lies.

As for my other “lies” you’ve resorted to falsely disparaging Vitello in reference to Barnes. I don’t know what else that is other than propping up Barnes by falsely criticizing Vitello. There’s no reason to bring him up as an example when Barnes good rep can stand on its own. I’ve never seen a thread where Barnes is critiqued that you don’t jump on. In instances where people like myself admit he’s a great coach and say that “perhaps” something was done out of his normal character you jump on that and then disparaged Vitello. So yes-those statements are accurate reflections of your behavior. If people on the baseball forum are disparaging a good coach of good character, don’t stoop to their level and do the same.

Also-keep dodging my points about you creating straw men arguments about me allegedly saying Fulmer and Pearl didn’t shop around. Funny how you didn’t own up to that when you’re having all these “lies” thrown at you.

Yet I only said that all of those coaches had also EVALUATED THEIR OPTIONS. YOU are making up the “fallacious false equivalency”. Then you ramp it up with your elementary school reading level, posting bull ****, and looking stupid garbage to insult me.

Incorrect-you said Pearl and Fulmer specifically “flirted with other schools” and that Vitello “no doubt evaluated his options”. Go back and read what you wrote. You realize “no doubt” means that it’s a fact (aka zero doubt) that he’s evaluated options when you have zero proof of his considerations of openings or contact with other schools? You can’t say something is factual unless having evidence to back it up. Otherwise you’re making a false assertion (or lie).

The only person looking stupid is you for resorting to fallacious arguments and disregarding my points when you get called out on it. You can’t even keep your own statements correct, as I demonstrated above.

that’s a direct quote from your post above citing Fulmer and Pearl within the context of seeking employment at other schools will employed at UT. I don’t think you can “outline lies clearly” when you can’t even recall your own statements.

“Calm down, Francis” was posted AFTER you had already thrown multiple insults at me (elementary reading, bull ****, and stupid).

Notice that I said Fulmer and Pearl were flirting and NOT that Fulmer, Pearl, AND Vitello were “flirting”. I said that even Vitello evaluates his options (as does EVERY coach. The reason that Vitello’s name was even mentioned by me was because of the nature of the garbage thread created in the Baseball forum that has now been moved into this one.

Again-you’re changing your words even though I’ve quoted you directly. You don’t know for a fact he’s evaluated other positions because there’s no evidence of this. You said there’s “no doubt” indicating it’s a fact, when it’s conjecture on your part in the absence of evidence. I can’t help you if you don’t understand how logic and evidence work.
