more times in the past 3 seasons than our basketball program in it's entire history. And doing this having facilities that are no where near competitive with the basketball ccomplex.

Also have won as many SEC tourneys in the last 2 years as basketball in the past 44.

Someday we will have a Tony V or Josh as basketball coach.

NCAA baseball tournament starts with double elimination. Then sweet 16 is best 2 of 3. Final 8 - CWS - is double elimination, then best of 3. Can't compare basketball postseason. Since you have no use for nuance, I thought I would apply some for you.

Barnes is a great coach.

About the dumbest quote I have ever seen. So if March Madness was Double Elimination we would have at least 10 Final Fours? Geez man.

Who knows Bernard and the 77 Vols would have probably come back in 77 and beaten Syracuse twice.

Not a direct shot at Barnes since our March woes go back to way before he got here.

Just for comparison I checked how many football teams have finished in the Top 8 in the Final AP Poll since the mid 70s when the NCAA tourney was expanded. I got 9.

Someday, probably not in my lifetime, we will have a Hoops team that doesn't disappear in March.

Not what I said. Just stating a fact about the differences in postseason tournaments and your seemingly lazy comparisons of coaches. Even worse, Barnes is higher among the hierarchy of basketball coaches than Vitellio is in baseball and Huepel is in football. That was pretty absurd by itself. All are great coaches. Not sure why you took a shot at Barnes. Maybe you just don't know any better?????

Quick edit. I would also add you don’t see the Campbells and Grand Canyons of the world being as competitive in basketball. Yeah it’s single elim but there’s a huge field in baseball that can make Omaha vs 20 teams or so that can make an elite 8 in a given year. Much more parity in baseball.

More than 20 teams. There's often someone outside the top 20 that make the elite eight. Look at this year's final four. There's at least as much parity in basketball.

The guy was taking an unnecessary shot at Barnes, and making himself look foolish in the process

Different sports. Apples to Oranges comparisons, plus both Vitello and Huepel have a long way to go in their respective sports. Like I said, all are great coaches. Barnes is third of all active basketball coaches. Like @Thunder Good-Oil posted, the two ahead of him have been at basketball schools while Barnes has been at football schools

I would assume you took a reading comprehension course somewhere along the way. What part of ,"our March woes started WAY before Barnes got here, did you not understand?
