The Atlanta Braves

Blue Jays are 37-31 with a +20 run differential yet fourth in their division and 10 games back of first 🥴🥴🥴

I can't decide if they're good or not.
But if Clemson is the second best team in the ACC the they're about to get shocked. They haven't seen the power arms that SEC schools have.

Clemson was a fairly ordinary team, too.

To be fair, Wake has absolutely trounced recent competition. Record-setting trouncing up to this point. A legitimate staff ace. And I think they're better than Stanford.

But Omaha tests staff depth and how you hold up to intensity quite a bit.

I doubt anybody is playing a Catcher on both ends of a doubleheader even with the DH.
June 2 was the last time both were in the lineup together. Before that mid May. In between those periods it's been a pretty even split of playing time. Murphy is used to playing everyday. When he was in the lineup everyday he was mashing the ball. It should easily be 3-1 Murphy starts.

With Clemson, I kept waiting for them to bring out a power arm and it never came. I figured a team like them would have one or two.
I'm going to be honest, I don't know much about Wake except they beat the **** out of Bama this past weekend.

I know Wake is a small, private school (although there are several small, private schools who are really good at baseball) but kind of wild that this is Wake's first CWS appearance in 68 years (1955). Even ORU has a more recent one (1978).

It's definitely not even. The ABs the past month have been about 2/1 for Murphy.

With all due respect to the demon deacons, what Dallas Baptist is able to accomplish in baseball is insane.

If you go look at the game log, it's nowhere close to an even split. TDA has less than 50 ABs in over a month since he came off the DL.
Yeah, the starts have been ~fine. I get the double header today too but Murphy wasn’t in the lineup yesterday. He needs to DH the majority of the time when he isn’t catching.

Probably so . . . Ozuna getting hot about the time TDA came off the IL made the ABs a little harder to spread around.

If Ozina is going to stay, and play..... he could play LF every once in a while. Just have to replace him defensively late.
Lol . . . Print that post out, set it on fire, then flush the remains. Dude is an absolute corpse in LF. They'd be better off just putting a bucket out there and seeing if they could get lucky and have a ball land in it.

What if the bucket could move 12 inches in any direction? That's Ozuna.

Never forget lol and this is back when he was supposedly “good” in left

Reminds me of the free vhs of sports bloopers that you could get with a year sub to sports illustrated
