Would be a winning path. I firmly believe the majority of folks are center-right to center-left, and are much closer than the loud fringes would have us think.

Social issues are almost entirely divisive, and intentionally so. The framing is almost always combative. These are not easy, black and white issues. But they're sure great at getting folks riled up.

Hat's off to you for stating that, but certainly you realize that you are currently in the minority of your own party. And the trend is increasingly away from traditional conservative principles on economics and towards more grandstanding about kids' clothing at Target.

That's because Trump is not really a Republican. He's just the anti-Democrat. If he had seen a lane to run as a Democrat, he would have, and he'd be bashing the GOP now instead.

the parties primarying separately allow this to fester. it allows the wings to radicalize as they purity test the candidates in the party primary. make every candidate run against each other until the top two come out, that way the radicals will be less able to build up early support.

Having to appeal to broader America first will make candidates be more clear about their stance, and they will have to differentiate themselves from all candidates and not just their own kind. And that way they have less room to pivot on their rhetoric because the entire nation is paying attention instead of just half of it when it goes from the large Primary to the 2 in the general.

it would also make it clear that most of these social issues aren't as diametric as they are. again because the radicals lose their voice. they don't get to steer the conversation away from actual compromise; and people would be better informed as their echo chamber just grew considerably and the radicals don't have the support to frame the conversation in a completely black and white way.

*MOST* people aren't completely for/against most social issues, the typical issue is the response to the social issue. and instead of being able to agree that the social issue should be fixed and starting with some common ground; we are currently trained to dig in on the details by the radical elements, so that we don't see we are much closer than most think.

See the Twitter posted above yours. FBI Director Wray finally stopped the slow walking to give the requested documents asked for so Republicans can carry out their investigations further.
Everything being done by Republicans to investigate Biden is met w/the stonewalling & the running out the clock from the Democratic side.

I used to be pro-DeSantis, but ever since the pettiness he's exhibited towards Disney, I've changed my opinion of him. He's clearly the kind of person that lets power go to his head. He does not have the character of someone I want leading the country.

I’m Trump or DeSantis just not sure in which order yet. Either one of them or someone else I’m damn sure anti Biden or whichever marxists the left puts up. The goal is to get a R in the White House anyone would be better that the dementia patient and his tramp.

Ha: the gangster is facing a trial in New York, was just convicted of defamation and sexual abuse---and is facing 3 potential indictments in the weeks/months ahead. He's a deeply corrupt, treasonous lowlife who belongs in prison. You'd have to be demented to still support him. And DeSantis? He practically as bad as the gangster--a tiny man who's a ginormous, fascist a$$hole. Conservative should find Republicans with a modicum of character and decency to support.
