I’m not specifically saying any particular firm, only that BODs are getting a lot of pressure to do ESG activities.

I’m also saying that, contrary to Mojo’s statement, execs aren’t simply automatons programmed to maximize their bonuses. They have pressures to deliver certain initiatives and I’m sure some feel a sense of moral obligation to push those forward.

However, the way they are talked about to the public is nothing more than window dressing. A casual observer might say “DEI” and sustainability are good for the bottom line. But that’s very different from how I’ve seen them talked about internally.

I’m not saying all of them don’t believe it’s the right thing to do…I’m sure many do. But when it comes time to show how you’re going to grow sales YoY or QoQ or forecast over forecast, I’ve never once seen any ESG initiative in the bridge. The only place I’ve ever seen them is OpEx detractors. That doesn’t usually help the bonus pool.

Those two are tied to Target, Kohls and Disney stocks as two of the top holders in each. It’s not coincidence

They are tied to pretty much every company.

Most of what these mutual fund companies are pushing for ESG is window dressing....

About 95% of the time, the only thing they usually want is a puff piece ESG PR report...

But the volume is different on their holdings. They are top holders in all these.

Vanguard is largest mutual fund company in the World. If you are a Fortune 500 company and aren't closely held, Vanguard is likely your largest (or Top 3) shareholder...

Disney's issues now have nothing to do with Vanguard pushing some nominal ESG objectives onto them. Disney has been woke/liberal for decades and their normal activities would fill up an ESG report. They can't profitably figure out streaming and how to fix ESPN....

Of course. The point is that we are accountable for our own sins and not Adam's transgressions.

We're supposed to see ourselves as individuals (I thought) but somehow too many people who profess to believe this have decided to judge the LGBTQ community as a whole based on the worst actors....and sometimes it's not even based on that. Often it's based on deranged perception that has no grounding in reality. I can't even get people to explain the basis for it. Ask them some hard questions about the "pedo/groomer gay agenda" and where they come up with this **** and they deflect and/or disappear. You think that'd be the end of it, but shamelessly they are back the next day connecting rainbow attire dots to diddling kids.

Link to where I called this a secret conspiracy? There doesn't have to be a conspiracy for entire industries to become ideological monoliths. Look at tech. It is all woke af. I don't think there's some internal memo going across all tech platforms saying to promote a certain agenda. They all just know to do it.

And I'd like to see the number crunching that shows any of this nonsense is profitable in any way, especially when you factor in potential boycotts.

While I agree with our general set of standards, it is arbitrary. So pedos, folks that engage in beastiality, etc are born that way and cannot be held accountable based on huffs logic. The laws in the bible are just as arbitrary. They are just not subject to change unless the interpretation is changed.
