I think we all agree there is absolutely nothing wrong with the first and that the last is heinous and inexcusable in our culture.

At what point does it enter the heinous range? (I'm all about continuums)

If the diary entries were in fact true, and she claims she believes she was 3 or 4 at the time - no biggie in my eyes.

Why would a father need to shower with a child that should be old enough to bathe themselves after 6-8 years old?

You missed the whole point of the exercise. At what point does it become wrong? Does it jump from not wrong at all to horrifically wrong at one point in time?

I don't know anyone who ever took it as meaning accusation = guilt.

The point received by most people was that all allegations should be given due consideration and not immediately brushed off and buried.

The political climate in this country is such that anybody pushing fiscal responsibility is going to be the villain. Fiscal conservatism is dead; the stake was pounded through it's heart when the first politician figured out he could trade pork for votes. If you attempt to cut spending, you are thoroughly wicked to those who might receive something; and if you should manage to succeed, you and the party are dead for a few years until the dems do something even more incredibly stupid than their usual.

True, but CA is a shining example of financial irresponsibility. I had to look up "Freedom Caucus" referenced in another topic - sounds a lot like a liberal clan rather than a supposedly fiscal conservative group. Anyway I noticed that no left coast state and apparently no upper right coast state are part of it - just mostly flyover country membership.
