Watch,, it!! Health, exercise etc.

I've had a fitbit I've used for years but thinking about switching to something different in the future.

If above general stats on exercise and pretty accurate GPS are acceptable, there's not a better sports/smart watch on the market for the money than the Samsung 4 Classic in my opinion. I don't think it can be beat as far as smart watches goes.

Had my new one over 2 weeks and just noticed that 2 of the things I really missed about switching from Samsung to Garmin was the calender app and the shortcuts to apps from the watch face. They've now been added to my new one. Don't know if it came that way or was part of the update.

@Behr

So like eight years or more of wearing Garmin with no screen scratches/issues. Already have a small nick in the 965. So, what screen protectors do you use?

They don't make a great one for the 965 because of the curvature, but this one gives some protection. I used the same one on my first Samsung and never had a problem.

They're a pain in the but to install that's why they give you 3. I used the little cardboard squiggy thing to stretch it out to fit perfectly. I like it.

Samsung is "doubling down" on sleep and exercise functions. If they'd fix the gps accuracy and battery I'd go back to them. I don't get how Garmin does it but Samsung can't.

I charged my battery last Tuesday morning to 100%. Ive used the gps over 6 hours since then and right now its on 55%.

Your Samsung Galaxy Watch Is Getting an FDA-Cleared Heart Health Feature

The High Aerobic and Low Aerobic thing is driving me crazy.

Yesterday I had 32 minutes in zone 2 (low Aerobic) and it gave me 49 points. Today I did the same workout for 26 minutes and got zero.

I did find through the chat board that activity level has a major impact on intensity minutes and mine was way off. It was on 2 but should be on 7. I changed that so I'm hoping it will make a difference somehow.

Blah blah blah.

Have yerselves a nice day.

I "ran" my first 5k yesterday. Woot! Major accomplishment for me. My watch said it was a 12:59 pace. The fact that I did it without stopping is the accomplishment. Lol.

Also broke my steps and calorie records too. 25,061 steps and 3034 calories.

Errthang worked like it was spost to.

Ngaf.

Lulz, Thanks, it might be impressive for me because of where I started, but it would be really impressive if it was a walking pace. 😀 I see Slice doing 4 -5 miles at a sub 9 or close to 9 minute pace and think about that while doing mine and realize how far I have to go to get to there.

I'm gettin there though.

Not sure you're interested in this or not and maybe you've already figured it out, but it seems to have made a big difference in how all my numbers are recorded.

I first changed all my HR zones to better fit my exercise profile and what was more comfortable. Zone 2 by default was way too low.

Made sure my weight was current.

And changed my activity class. Here is the link to where I read about it and a pic of the chart.

Yep, and walk longer to get to the total 3 hours.

(You’re not the only one who takes a magnifying glass to pretty much everything!)
I totally understand that. I guess that wouldn't bother me because I know the difference it would make on my numbers in the zones, the difference in 6 and 7 would be miniscule. Otherwise I'd probably contact Garmin and ax wtf up with they dumbass chart.
