It is most certainly not. Once you've had Pappy, you may wonder what all the hype was actually about. I'm pretty sure I've tried them all at some point or another. Personal opinion is there is much better bourbon out there for cheaper. Especially with some of the newer things coming out. Even if you think it's the best stuff, it's not monumentally better.
If you've never had Pappy, I'd find somewhere that's selling it by the pour and quench your curiosity that way.
Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is the best stuff I’ve ever owned. Wife bought it for me two Christmases ago. Hadn’t cracked it open til last week. Won’t last another.

My daughter has had multiple sprained ankles and the athletic trainer recommended surgery….. That would put her out too long as this will be her last year playing college basketball…. She is in pain all the time especially with plantarflexion and inversion… The trainer said that her ligaments have been over stretched too many times…. Does anyone have any success with any strengthening exercises for that issue so she can alleviate the pain some?
My wife was told this same thing through school. Should have done the surgery and regrets not doing it now. When just walking straight she rolls her ankles. When in school the best she could do is wear ankle braces. Best of luck to your daughter.

Was my every-day pour until I tried The Company. Made in Townsend. It is really good. Interested in others feedback who have tried it.

I repeat, this entire extended narrative about Hyatt is aimed at dissuading the nation's top WR targets from signing with us in our '24 class. The worry of the instigators is that if we bring in the top guys, their dirty recruiting strategy is dead and buried once and for all.
It’s being hi jacked by teams trying to negatively recruit but this narrative has been around since Art Briles…. It will get louder until we get some studs in the NFL…..

I think you will be really disappointed in the 23. It will be very oaky/overoaked. The 15 is great but like others say, it is just popular because of the mystique of it. There are others out there that are just as good or better for a reasonable price. Personally, if you can find a barrel proof Four Roses (almost becoming impossible these days), that gives it a major run for the money.

Brian Daboll drafted Jalin Hyatt and is very happy to have him. Nothing else really needs to be said.

But I will say it anyway for those who do not understand.

Daboll has five SB rings. He was also the OC at Bama with their NC team in 2017. He has coached in the NFL for over 20 years and started as a D assistant before becoming a QB/OC guru. He won assistant of the year in 2020 and was NFL COY as HC last season. He is the next Andy Reid. He is his own unique winner as a coach and a guy that has total respect from everybody throughout the game.

That guy drafted Jalin Hyatt. The rest of the naysayers and posers can go pound sand. As has been posted, the negative recruiting BS will only go so far until it blows up in their faces.

Vols by fiddy every game. The great players will be coming from far and wide to wear the orange for years to come.

Figured this would be a good of a place as any...anyone in here ever been to a tasting with all the Pappy Van Winkles sips? I have seen them priced from about $300-800 for a full meal and tastes of each all the way up to the really rare 23 year old. Wonder if it is worth it. I have wanted to try it again for about 18 years but can't seem to ever find something worth my while.

Any recommendations?
Not sure where you reside but Aubrey's in Knoxville usually have the Pappy line. I'm not sure I've seen the 23. I've had the 20. I think it was $55 for the pour.

Ya, it doesn't mean he can't catch balls in traffic, but he rarely had to. Heupel is that good. Same with Hooker. How many balls did he have to fit into a tight window? Doesn't mean he can't, but he didn't have to do it as much as a normal qb because heupel is so good. I get why some nfl teams would be hesitant, he didn't have to prove an NFL skillset, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have one.
Yeah….. if you look back through all of Heup’s and Art Briles seasons as head coach…. All the qb and leading receiver stats are pretty similar…. It didn’t matter if it was a 2* qb or not… they all had really good seasons… The problem is none of them have become dominant pros…..The closest being Gabriel Davis for the Bills… I didn’t like it when Lane tried hyping all the USC players but I get it now…. If I was Heup…. I would be selling the development and production of Davis every chance that I had.

It's one of my go-tos as well. And easy to find everywhere. another one that is very tasty is Four Roses Small Batch "Select". Very nice stuff and usually easy to find.

But he ain't wrong. Nobody is leaving UM to Kansas for the education. Call it what you want, but folks want to strike the money pot while it's hot.

How dare they. Almost acting like coaches!

This wasn’t/wouldn’t be a discussion when there was zero “NIL”.it’s taken away the point of college from a educational standpoint and sports.you’re looking at it as a agent…I’m all for them getting money now because it’s obviously there…just a lot of chasing for me and not enough focus on making the team better.

Seems like with the moves Barnes is making that he's making 1 or 2 more last push seasons. Moving out developmental guys and bringing in transfers that are ready to play and win now. Feel like Edwards could be great with 1 more season of development but Barnes needs a plug-in guy now.

He's just made decisions this offseason that we haven't really seen before, advising OK, JJJ, BJE, JP, UP, etc to move on and he brought in a huge transfer class.

Started watching Deadwood because of recommendations on here.

Really good show. But I must say, I hear c$&k sucker more in a 1/2 an episode than I’ve heard my entire 53 years on this earth. I crack up every time.

That term MUST have been invented in Deadwood, SD.

Carry on.

I started watching "From" based on it being mentioned in here. Its a good little spooky show so far. There are some tastemakers up in here, no doubt.

Chiropractors figured out that not enough people will just pay for aligning backs…. So now they claim that can fix anything….. I’m sure the cervix is on that list. 😂

Normally I would laugh, but I am going through mandatory training to cover a US Olympic gymnastic event. Also training to be camp doctor for a disabled children’s camp.

That scenario is recurring in both training guides.
Too much abuse is missed. It makes me very sad and angry simultaneously…

If folks actually watched a couple of CO games last season, they would understand why Prime did what he did. Manycoul of the players did not even try, they just went through the motions. You can't fix that kind of broke using the same players.

Difference in coaches from kiffin/dooley/butch/pruitt to CJH and staff. How many of us thought they had recruited scrubs only to see what good coaching and culture could do to transform a team.

Neither saban nor smart could have done it.

“Coach” prime prefers to run off players rather than try to get them coached up and better…

I’m not a fan of his style. It would help him out if he fails miserably, especially in the way he handles coaching.

True….. Never leave your kids alone with anyone…. You never know who you can trust.

Both Saban and Smart were big winners starting Y2 just like Heupel.
