I’m rich and/or powerful. I do not have to deal with the consequences of open border policies. On the contrary, my landscaping and house cleaning bill has never looked better! So here’s a throw-off virtue signaling answer in an attempt to exalt myself as one of great wisdom and moral character.

Technically, they're already on U.S. soil (the river marks the official border) – and within days, they expect to be through the wall to make their asylum claims.

A particular target is Sacred Heart Church in downtown El Paso, which offers food and shelter to migrants.

REVEALED: Joe Biden 'finalizes screeching migrant policy U-turn to fend off illegal aliens in Trump-style plans he decried in 2020' - as Title 42 expires TOMORROW and thousands more stream over the southern border

Joe Biden has finalized Trump-style plans to stop illegal migrants flooding into the U.S less than 48 hours before Title 42 expires - and as thousands more are seen streaming across the border from Mexico.

The policy, as seen by CBS News, is almost identical to a law which had been introduced by the Trump administration - and which was decried by Biden at the time. It required migrants to request refugee status in another country, such as Mexico, during their journey to the southern border - before crossing into the United States.

Have you ever had a mortgage? Auto loan?

Same principle.

Allows us all to live a better life.

Sure most of us have relied on financial loans of one type or another when we were younger without experience to expect better wages/salary, when we needed things necessary to begin life on our own, and when life itself (perhaps marriage and children) demanded more of our income. However, with success leading to better incomes and accumulation of needs ... maturity, most of us become more financially stable and independent. How long do you think a country can go on acting like a high maintenance adolescent with no will to learn any semblance of financial maturity, restraint, or management?

Americans say NO MORE: 54% oppose bigger migrant flows, and barely a quarter back Biden's immigration strategy as Title 42 floodgates open

Most American voters — and an overwhelming majority of Republicans — are looking at scenes of migrants amassing on the southern border with a sense of urgency and alarm, the latest polling shows.

With pandemic-era border entry rules set to lapse on Thursday, a survey of more than 1,000 US adults paints a picture of a country scared by an influx of migrants once the floodgates open.

It shows how Americans don't want bigger people flows into the US, support the military bolstering border guards, and question whether Joe Biden, a Democrat, is the right president for the critical task at hand.

It becomes a "problem" when a critical mass of Americans say it's a problem.

For a lot of the county, wanting to deal with the excesses is like pouring an alcoholic his favorite drink in a huge tumbler and telling him "Say when." Takers (and this country has a lot of them) don't much care about the financial soundness of the giver as long as the giver keeps finding a way to stave off disaster.

Notice how people pushing the "nation of immigrants" thing never bother to mention what skills immigrants bring vs what skills we need. When the first waves of immigrants came we needed very simple forms of labor and good work ethic, and we got that. We still need good work ethic and a lot of immigrants have that, but the skill factor and educational background are the key missing ingredients. A lot of our own people would be taking jobs "that Americans won't do" if the government would quit paying them not to do those jobs. Hunger and shelter are great motivators.

Agreed.

I have a friend looking to relocate to Brussels for a job. Before they will accept his request, his employer must persuade government officials that he is uniquely qualified for the position. If they determine there are plenty of current citizens both qualified and pursuing similar opportunities, they will deny his request as a way of looking out for the interest of their current citizens.

What do we do? Open our southern border and suggest the people that disagree with this approach hate brown people.

Biden is a trainwreck of a POTUS. From corruption, to the economy, to worldwide aggression, the border, political prosecution, to horrible race relations in this country. He got bad all covered and he can't speak and think well to express any of it.

And would/will still beat Trump in '24.

We should all do all within our power to ensure we never have to find out.

Much easier on the eyes of Americans than this death march the democrat party has us on. Biden is like a Jim Jones lookalike.
Well, I guess that would be evidenced by the American voters - 2020 was a resounding thumbs down to trumpster the dumpster.
