President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

Apparently, they have nothing better to do but **** with people...

War on appliances continues as Biden admin releases new rules for dishwashers
From the article:
Most dishwashers on the market are already well below the federal standard of 5 gallons, with most using 3.5 gallons per cycle or less.
Dishwashers are not the only appliances Biden's DOE has set its sights on, however, as the regulator is also considering crackdowns on washers, dryers and refrigerators that manufacturers say could reduce performance.

A bureaucrat is incapable of acknowledging human behavior. When any appliance (dishwasher, washer, dryer) does not do the job up to consumer's satisfaction, consumers simply run the cycle again. If new appliances don't deliver results given the new standards for energy efficiency, the end result will be more energy used; not less.

100% true. We probably use more water pre-rinsing/pre-washing dishes with our new dishwasher than the old one used.

Biden's approval rating hits new low

President Joe Biden’s approval sank to a new low, an ABC News/Washington Post poll found, two weeks after the president announced his reelection campaign.

Biden’s approval rating dipped to 36 percent, down from February and just below his previous low in 2022. A significantly higher percentage of people — 56 percent — disapprove of the job the president has done so far, and the majority of the Democrats surveyed (58 percent) said they would rather Democrats pick someone else to be the presidential nominee.

You know the sad part is that if joe makes it through the primaries to the election, he'll still get at least 81M votes ... whether they are real or not is another matter.

Yes there is a record amount of Interest being paid. This year and in future years there will be continued record amounts paid.

So what?

This has nothing to do with the fact that the trend of what percentage we are paying on interest out of our total budget remains basically flat.

Big numbers scary hypothesis #13,427 out the window.

* The blue line is your friend.

Yes, basically flat…until now. That blue line is now at about 6.8%. That trend will continue according to all those sources/entities I listed. That’s exactly what both those articles indicate as well…how much more expensive it will get going forward to finance the debt. That, in and of itself wouldn’t be much of a concern if not for the speed of which financing costs and the overall debt is increasing. And you are correct, as I stated prior, we have benefitted via low interest rates that have held this percentage low for a while now, albeit artificially. I’m not saying we are falling off a cliff tomorrow, only echoing we can’t continue on the present path and adjustments are going to be necessary in the very near term. Don’t believe we can kick that can down the road much longer. Any rate, time will tell.
