Gun control debate (merged)

That does sound like a good idea ... and no, it's not going to stop mass shootings in grocery stores, malls, churches, hotels, etc. ....
2 of those 3 steps taken by the school would work for malls and other venues as well....like in Florida they armed gave the teacher options to be arms and hasn't been a mass school shooting since parkland. Give everyone a gun and you'll see gun violence drop..cuz the crazy weak people that attack no gun zone will not have that option.

The Forrester has evolved towards a somewhat targeted crowd. Or that’s the common perception. That’s all. Just commenting the charger serves the fat nerdy geek community in a similar capacity.
Ah ok.

The young people doing donuts, popping rounds out the windows of their Chargers in South Memphis, are not fat nerdy geek types lol.

You aren't going to stop them. There is nothing more dangerous than a fool with a 'cause'. You aren't going to get rid of the guns, and you certainly aren't going to get rid of the fools.
Why do you suppose random mass shootings occur more frequently in the United States, than any other country in the world? What is different about our society that makes these events more common?

... and they happen everywhere :

Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas
Pulse Nightclub in Orlando
A church in Sutherland Springs, Texas
Numerous schools including Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas ...
A Walmart in El Paso, Texas
A mall in Allen, Texas (Texas gets hit a lot, don't they?)
A Tops Friendly Supermarket in Buffalo, New York
A movie theater in Aurora, Colorado

All your registrations, background checks and whatever other looney ways you come up with to identify gun owners won't slow this at all. What will slow it might be to put habitual perpetrators of gun violence behind bars forever. but I guess that is too cruel and inhumane. (Whatever happened to your mantra of 'if it saves one life?')

Good grief, ace: There aren't "habitual perpetrators of gun violence." People who shoot and kill other people either go to prison or get killed. How many of the most egregious mass shootings in America over the last 5 years were committed by men with prior convictions for gun violence? Answer--probably none. They flip their lids, they own assault rifles and then they start shooting--either ending up behind bars or dead, but only after killing half a dozen or more people.

The creepy, crazy Texas politicians seem to want to make a big deal of the fact that somebody shot and killed the shooter. They want to brush over
the fact that he murdered 8 people first...with, yes, an assault rifle. The killer hasn't been identified but apparently until a few hours ago he was yet another "responsible, law-abiding gun owner."....And then he wasn't...
What's an assault rifle?

LOL I'm sure all those people killed in Chicago were shot by first timers.

Let's give even more people guns so that they too can start shooting people randomly when they flip their lids. Yea, wise idea! Who do you think is doing all the mass shootings now? The idea is to have a civilized society, children, not return the U,S. to 1850--though I know a lot of yahoos would favor that idea. What an embarrassment.

Actually most of the time they’re liberal democrats who obtain guns illegally just before using them.

Crazy Mfers and gang bangers are the majority of mass shooters....the both are weak Mfers that only attack gun free zones...so if you eliminate gun free zones and arm people to retaliate they will slow down.....people are less likely to attack another person that can defend themselves..period. Your an idiot if you think otherwise

You'll not accept the answer

This is a fair case in point.

Both sides tend to agree that the inadequacy of mental health care services, or over-medication, has contributed to school shootings. However, Republicans don't want any type of health car service provided in our public schools. Where was a kid with Asperger's Syndrome, such as Adam Lanza (the Sandy Hook shooter) going to get treatment if it wasn't in school? His absentee mother sure as hell wasn't going to seek help for him. She didn't care (and he killed her too).

The Republican solution will always just involve adding more guns into the equation.
