That's racist!

I guess “richer” is subjective.

In Judeo-Christian circles I would guess many would point to Africa. From Egypt to the Triangle - there’s a lot of history there.

I don’t know nearly as much about China’s history with slavery.

Marly Rivera accused of calling other reporters ‘white b—h’, ‘fake Hispanic’ in past incidents

Previous allegations of aggressive interactions with fellow reporters have emerged against Marly Rivera, who was fired Tuesday by ESPN for calling a rival a “f–king c–t” over a dispute involving an Aaron Judge interview.

The Post’s Andrew Marchand first reported that Rivera was terminated after an interaction with freelance reporter Ivón Gaete, in which Rivera believed she had an exclusive scheduled with the Yankees slugger, and, with her requests for Gaete to honor her time disregarded, uttered, “What a f–king c–t.”

Two people told the outlet that Rivera, upset that a reporter was trying to take a photo of Hispanic players she was also photographing, called the reporter a “white b—h.”

Cleopatra was not Black, Egypt tells Netflix ahead of new series

Shows director...and others on the left ..screaming that Egypt and these Egyptians are racists for pointing out that Cleopatra was not black.

I sometimes wonder if other people just never took geography and history lessons like we did in school? Yall realize how much further sub-saharan africa is from Egypt than say....Jerusalem, right? That because of the Sinai peninsula, Egypt is a short camel ride from the middle east....but thousands of miles from sub-,saharan countries like Angola, botswana, Zambia. Actually, Egypt is much, much closer to Greece, Italy, Turkey, Lebanon and Syria than any of those lower african countries. Africa is a freaking HUGE continent and the Mercator projection map we all use shrinks it by like 40% to make the long/latitude lines work while mapping a globe shaped Earth onto a flat screen or paper. Africa is HUGE.

Kinda. Some of Her ancestors were anyway it seems. Then she married Mark Antony of Greece right?

Regardless she was never black in any way, shape, or form...and indigenous Egyptians look more like Osama Bin Laden or Jesus than ANY black or white person. Keep in mind that genetically speaking there are what 3 distinct races of people? The Bible refers to them as Shemites (brown folks), Hamites (black folks), and Japhethites (white folks) all being descendents of the 3 sons of Noah.

Trying to remember who our resident afrocentric idiot is here on VN that likes to tell us that black people from Africa built the pyramids, invented the wheel, fire, every tool known to man, every invention on Earth etc and the evil Whitey came and stole all of their immense knowledge and technology....then wrote false textbooks and every historical document ever discovered so that they could steal literally every good thing from the black man and take it for themselves. Ktown king maybe? That sheit was a hoot....

This was all Pre-Wakanda though...so he may have completely changed his worldview now in order to incorporate Wakanda as the grue motherland. Sadly, there is a small % of the US population that actually believes Wakanda is or ever was a real place. Sad but true.

I believe ole 79 knows about the different races of humans that are cited by genealogists etc...he has posted them before. We are all in 1 big mixing pot of a genetic pool...I doubt that very many of us humans exist that do not have ancestors from each of the races in our bloodlines. We are far, far more alike than we have ever been different. Why people are bent on pointing out every tiny difference between us, rather than all the many things we have in common is a question i cannot figure out?

@luthervol and any other teachers why do you believe the cause of the black community being 85% not proficient in reading and math?
There are multiple factors and they obviously wouldn't be the same for each individual.
The vast majority of children rise to the educational level of their parents. College educated parents raise kids who will be college educated. Dropouts raise dropouts. Stated another way, kids value education at about the same degree as does the parent.

This first factor obviously plays a major role in a second factor which is readiness entering first grade. Kids who start behind tend to stay behind and kids who start ahead tend to stay ahead.

A third factor, intertwined with the first two, is the level belief in the concept that an education is the ticket to a better life. A single mom who is a high school drop out but who truly believes in the value of education can raise a kid that goes to an Ivy League school - I've seen it happen. (I've also seen kids from two parent homes with both parents having college degrees, drop out)
But those are certainly the exceptions and not the rule.

Do you think that lack of value of education and the interest crimes rates in that community have any correlation?

85% is clearly not acceptable. What do we do about it?

There is no easy answer.
There are a few things that can be done on the school side, but those are minimal and limited.
The only real solution is to reduce the number of kids being born into and raised in households that do not value education.

Simple fact - if a kid does not value education, they will not receive an education.
95% of valuing an education comes from the home and immediate community.

So essentially it's a cultural issue within that community?
