I hope we can replace DW with some level of competency. Not sure we have seen a better OT in some time, if ever.
Didn't the Titans just draft a QB last year that they're having to move away from this year? And now they're doing so by drafting a college QB that is demonstrably bad in game action, reportedly sporting an attitude that other orgs passed on, and is arguably a head case.
So, is this a UT/UK rivalry response, or a fanbase noting TWO wasted draft picks on QBs while the building burns in the background?
Last I seen Colorado only has 4 dlinemen on their team. I don't care what conference your in. When you are that slim upfront you're going to struggle no matter how much talent you have anywhere else
Definitely, I think this game is also a case of our defensive coaches out schemed the Kentucky offensive coaches as well. Im not a fan of the Levis pick but we should give the dude a chance at leastNever really paid close attention to what happened on offense for UK in this game, but our defense schemed this game perfectly.
Kentucky's offensive line had to be league worst. Because of that, the vast majority of passing plays for UK were short routes and our DBs were sitting then breaking on them. We knew Levis wouldn't have time on most plays to take deep shots or even intermediates unless it was a 3rd and long situation. 2 of the 3 interceptions was from our DBs jumping the short route. I think they ran trips to the left both times, and whichever receiver cut the route, that DB jumped the route.
On the Slaughter INT, he knew Levis had to have been taking the shot because of the situation and because the reciever was actually running. Levis tried to put it back shoulder but the receiver didn't adjust. That was an individual defensive play and not necessarily something Levis did wrong.
I'm still down on the pick, and I think Levis is going to flame out, but there's legitimacy to the defense of how BAD his offensive line was and he had young receivers. That's why he had a much better season the year before (still caught that L tho). I guess since watching that again I'm realizing that performance isn't solely on his shoulders. The whole team sucked.
They are not the sole pro team. The Memphis Grizzlies, Nashville Preds are also pro teams. No disrespect intended in my response. I just look at the Titans as the NFL team of the state just as the Grizzlies are the basketball team, and Preds are the hockey team. No, Im not. Thanks though. They are literally in Tennessee and the sole pro team thus, are the Tennessee team. Your perceived "disrespect" towards the Vols changes nothing.

Come on now lol. That is how I look at it too and why I'm fans of the Predators and the Grizzlies (although not a big NBA guy). They are not the sole pro team.
