The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Improved the offensive line for sure. Just not sure he’s a tackle and I’m not sure how valuable a guard is.

Best outcome for the Titans with the first round possible coming into this draft was Skoronski....

Thank you Houston for taking us out of Stroud running and Zona for taking us out of the Paris Johnson Jr running.

You’d prefer a guard over a tackle? I liked Paris Johnson and I’m still hoping for his counter part at RT in the second

Skoronski is more versatile than Johnson..... I personally think Skoronski was the best lineman in this draft... Of course if Bears hadn't selected Wright, I would have been ecstatic with Titans picking him as well, but Skoronski is who I wanted Titans to pick for a few months now. Great pick.

Johnson played guard before tackle. So he could probably play four of 5 spots. Most don’t think Skoronski can play OT. I think the number I saw was 1% percentile in terms of arm length for OT.

Edit: I was wrong 4th percentile. So 96% of guys to play OT have longer arms. It’s possible he’s the outlier who’s capable of playing at a high level despite his size. But I think it’s more likely he’s a guard. Hopefully we can add Dewand Jones in the second

It’s a very good pick. I’m guessing the coaching staff feels we’re only last year’s injuries or a player or two from playoff contention.

If Tannehill misses no games last year, we prolly win division.... Especially considering how we played the Texans and Kansas City with Malik.

Yeehaw.

Okay.... It is my opinion. I said I believe Skoronski was the best lineman prospect in this draft class. That's my two cents. I have wanted us to draft him since the first mocks started dropping. Yes, i prefer him to Johnson. I don't think Johnson is a bad player or is some defect. Just prefer Skoronski over him / Wright, who are likely the top 3 linemen in this class.

I'm more ecstatic we got Skoronski at 11 without having to make any stupid trades to move up in draft. Maybe Curse of JRob is over?

I think they took him with plans for him to be a tackle, not a guard.

Unless they get an absolutely fantastic tackle next offseason, at which point maybe he moves to guard.

Have you seen his arm length? Bottom 4% of all offensive tackles. Maybe everything else is good enough to overcome that, but I’m skeptical. It’s like drafting a 5’10 QB
