The screen is what I expected, awesome. Yours is 460 pixels I think, this one is 454 so it's pretty much the same as yours. In comparison the other one was 260. Huge difference.

I haven't tried anything else yet. The screen protector is working perfectly which I was afraid it wasn't going to work at all. So that's good.

The battery seems to be holding good, I've been playing with it non stop since about 10:30 and it's only burned 6%, that's 1% an hour with high use.

Pic doesn't do it justice but you can see the difference in display size. The face bezel (dark ring in the display) is almost non existent on the 965. I swapped bands if you didn't already notice.

I'm taking Tay Tay out Friday night for half off apps at Applebee's

Battery use overnight was 7% compared to 2% on the 955. As far as I know all the settings are the same.

GPS usage was about the same. If any difference it was just a little better, but not significant.

Sure is easy to see!!

I like analog faces but hate the hands hiding info, but I found one that works. I can't figure out what that big orange hand is. The blue is much darker than it looks in this picture.

Compass maybe??

I have an issue and Ive tried Garmin express and Ive chatted with support. I got Garmins versionn of TFG and ended up telling her to nevermind.

I just wanna see if its just me.

When you get a second and don't mind...got to the Connect app.
Garmin Devices>965>system >Display >During Sleep>Brightness then select one.

I get a message no matter which one I choose that says...

I don't like the sleep mode on this one and I'm trying to find the best way around it. That ain't it. Lol.

@volfanbill

I have many thoughts, but right now I gotta say I hate the..for lack of a better term.. "fade in" display. Makes me wanna cuss.

Going from Samsung 460 pixel smart watch to Garmin 260 pixel sports watch took some getting used to. In the end, I did. I'm sure I'll get used to this but as of right now, overall, like the 955 better. Better than the Samsung and 965. I hope I feel different soon.

After tracking the numbers and not playing with it as much, the 965 is using the same or a little less battery than the 955. Which is a good thing.

I used Always On during activity today after yesterday's crap show. That's the ticket.

I don’t understand this. You mean how it turns itself on when you look at it?

Yes. When I raise my arm and twist my wrist to turn it on (gesture) it starts out dim and gradually gets brighter. I mean, it only takes about 3 seconds from dark to 100% brightness, but I don't like it, especially when I'm running.

Now, since posting that earlier I've changed several settings, for this reason and other reasons. It's not doing it anymore on "general". I'm going to see after while if it still does it during an activity.

This morning I have it on "always on" during my run. It stays on but real dim until you raise your arm then it gradually got brighter...sometimes. Sometimes it stayed dim. That sucked. Just like those guys in that Garmin thread said.

Good news is I figured out colors must be battery hogs. I changed my face to light grey and darker grey as my only two colors and last night at 9:30 I took It off the charger with 100%, used GPS this morning for 48 minutes and at 7:45 it was on 92%. It's 3:42 now and it's still on 92%.
