Tucker Carlson Obsession Thread (merged)

Would have been easier to say she misled/lied from the start instead of blaming others. I just asked for where she retracted and apologized , you failed. It’s not a disagree, you couldn’t do it.
How about all the media calling people (including esteemed physicians) who questioned the shots or handling of the pandemic "dangerous," conspiracists, or deserving to be censured or have their licenses revoked?

I can easily believe that you don't watch her show.

As for this line in bold? That is exactly how Fox News approached their coverage of post-election fraud claims made by Donald Trump.
Don’t know. Did not watch much of it either. But what does Fox News post election fraud claims have to do with Rachel Maddox supposedly being a paragon of journalistic integrity about anything?
Oh, wait! That was intended to be a counter argument? Not sure how effective it is as I think some of the Fox shows do exactly the same thing as Maddox.

Did she ever issue a retraction or apology about her story on Oklahoma hospitals being overrun with patients taking ivermectin?
I know that she has gotten things wrong on her show, tweeted and re-tweeted disinformation. Due to her being a progressive liberal, the mistakes she makes will always either be to the benefit of Democrats, or to the detriment of Republicans. If she hasn't retracted her mistakes? She should have.

Having said that, I like the philosophical way she constructs arguments, and builds up to her point ... and I agree with most of her conclusions. I don't agree that she is the same as all Fox News hosts ... but I'm sure you have good reasons for feeling otherwise.

I don't see it as being that black and white.

She wasn't "misleading her audience," and there was nothing for her to apologize for. When the CDC corrected their director's assessment, Maddow announced the correction on her show. That was her only obligation. The mistake wasn't hers.

There is no way that you hold the hosts of Fox News up to this same standard. LOL.
Just curious to the timeline of her lie/correction 24 hours, next segment would be ideal, 1 week or later? Not sure I’ve alluded to any Fox host as “an intellectual” as you stated about Maddow, so it would seem I’m a realist and not told what to think.

Her obligation as a media is to be correct, she’s an opinion show which is not facts. Who got fired in her misleading?

Would be ideal, honesty matters.

Twitter Flooded With Stories About Tucker Carlson’s Kindness In Wake Of Fox News Exit

“When I first moved to DC, [Tucker Carlson] heard it was my first Thanksgiving away from home. I had just gone through a divorce and my kids were on the other side of the country. He invited me to his home and I enjoyed Thanksgiving with his father, his wife, his children and his dogs,” radio personality Larry O’Connor wrote.

“Tucker Carlson is genuinely one of the kindest, most down to earth people I have ever met in my life. When I had the opportunity to meet him a few months ago, he greeted me as if we had been best friends for a lifetime,” Jaimee Michell, founder of Gays Against Groomers, tweeted.

“Tucker sent me a text message out of the blue several years ago just to tell me he appreciates my work. I had a much lower profile back then. I didn’t think he even knew who I was. He took the time to track my number down and reach out. Very few people like that in this business,” Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh said.

“Extremely rare that someone much higher on the totem pole will send you a word of encouragement when they stand to gain nothing from it. There are only a few people in the business who will do something like that and one of them is Tucker Carlson. Great talent and a good man.”

“Tucker Carlson once called me, out of the blue, because he had heard through friends that I was going through a rough patch. We had never spoken before, but he took 45 minutes out of his night to offer support/advice. It remains one of the most surreal experiences of my life,” National Review staff writer Nate Hochman said.

“One of the most powerful men in conservative politics took the time to sit down and call some random 23 year old kid he had never met — just to tell him to hang in there, and to ask if there was anything he could do to help. It’s something I will never forget.”

You seem to be contradicting yourself here.

... and we have covered the "misleading" part. I have explained how I feel bout that. She wasn't misleading anyone ... She had a guest on her show who possessed the credentials to discuss infectious disease prevention. The CDC Director asserted incorrect information .... which was corrected the next day. Rachel Maddow corrected the record when the CDC did. Who was MSNBC supposed to fire?

This really is my last response to this. We see things differently.

Contradicting is going all in on Fox and spinning Maddows lie, especially one in which people died. Like I said, it would have been easier to say she didn’t apologize and take it but you opted to blame others. No big deal, it’s the lefts way.

The bottom line is that the Arm Waver was consistently beat in the TV ratings by a heterosexual white male.

That's nice of him.

But irrelevant if he is knowingly promoting a lie to millions of people, night after night. Don't you think ?

You sure do have a fixation with the Nielsen ratings. LOL.

Fox News is on pace to pay a record amount of money in settlements/buyouts in 2023 because ratings were indeed the bottom line for them.

Normal working class people come home and watch the local 6 o'clock news if they want to watch news (most people do not)
Many working class people aren't home by that time these days. But I agree most people don't watch the news now. There simply are no trusted names and networks any longer.

“Unfortunately the day we’ve been worried about has arrived,” Silver wrote to his staff, according to the Hollywood Reporter, alluding to a recent round of financial hardships and layoffs that have impacted ABC and its parent company. “We don’t yet know the scope of these layoffs, exactly who is impacted, or the terms under which they are departing, but it is going to be a hard day for all of us.”
