How so? I was referring to federal burden/benefits tied directly to the individual regardless of state residency. This is going to come as a shock to many people but people often move to lower cost of living states when they retire and are on fixed income. Social security benefits aren’t geographically adjusted either (and they shouldn’t be). So the old tired argument of red states taking more than getting really doesn’t hold water when you look at the numbers tied to individuals that have nothing to do with the state other than cost of living.And military spending?
