Oh my, G_D has this.Update from my oldest friend
Haley's PET scan revealed spots in a couple additional areas. Due to this being such an unusual case due to her youth and absence of risk factors the team of doctors have decided to do blood testing to determine if cancer producing genetic mutations are present. The presence or absence of these mutations will dictate treatment decisions and may take up to 2 weeks to get back. If blood work is conclusive then a very targeted plan of treatment will be implemented. A liver biopsy will be necessary if the blood work is inconclusive to be followed by a treatment course of chemo, radiation and possibly surgery. We are heartbroken, but are trusting in God's care, provision and goodness. Thank you for praying and please continue praying.
