They must feel comfortable with Dilione. Expect he will earn all the backup PG duties when ZZ needs to rest. We will see a lot of 3 guard lineups, perhaps even 4 guard lineups at times. Heck put Ledlum, Knecht, Dilione, Vescovi and Zeigler in the game at the same time and let them run. Just a significant different looking team, no matter what lineup we put on the court. Knecht and Ledlum give you scorers who are versatile and perhaps more importantly aren’t afraid to take “the shot”.On paper, this team looks top 10 good. We will see how things shake out at point guard. Really need Freddie to be be able to truly run the point, not just be serviceable ball handler.

I’m not sure people remember that ZZ tore his ACL. It’s quite possible that he will not be ready until SEC schedule. We will need a PG and backup most likely until JanuaryThey must feel comfortable with Dilione. Expect he will earn all the backup PG duties when ZZ needs to rest. Powell averaged 4.3 PPG and 3.3 TO/G on 4/21 shooting in his 3 games against at P6 teams in his brief stint at Auburn.I just hope he is not another Justin Powell. He played so well at Auburn (especially 3-point shooting) and could not get it together here, for whatever reason. No one’s fault, just did not work out.
Is it feasible to think now since Knecht is in the boat,JJJ and JP are gone for good and if not who do think would possibly leave to make room.I don't think Barnes would ask someone to move on but maybe my perception is wrong.I will hang up and listenAnother legit 3 point shooter on the floor with Santi is something to be excited about
I'm certainly not down on him like some others are. It'll be interesting to see if he can beat out Dilione or Mashack for PG minutes until ZZ gets back, then there's also Gainey to consider. It's a tough road as we are very deep at guard with Santi back.I keep seeing posts about PG that don’t mention Edwards…are we that certain he’s not going to contribute? I know he didn’t do much last year but why does everyone seem so sure that he will never contribute?
I have that exact same question. Would love to have JJJ back, but who goes if he does stay? I'm sure Barnes has a handle on it. Regardless, depth is gonna be insane! Is it feasible to think now since Knecht is in the boat,JJJ and JP are gone for good and if not who do think would possibly leave to make room.I don't think Barnes would ask someone to move on but maybe my perception is wrong.I will hang up and listen
How in the world did he put up 20/7, lead the league in scoring during conference play and only make the second team? It sounds like he should’ve been POY in that conference and, if not that, certainly a first teamer.“Knecht was a sneaky NBA prospect in hiding at Northern Colorado. A second-team All-Big Sky selection this season after starting his career with two junior college seasons, the 6-foot-6, 200-pound wing is a legitimate shooter from distance who also pairs it with genuine above-the-rim athleticism.
At the Big Sky level, he could finish from all three levels on his way to over 20 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting 48 percent from the field, 38 percent from 3 and 77 percent from the free-throw line.
That scoring number actually increased in conference play and resulted in him leading the league in points per game. Because of that shooting and well-rounded scoring package, his game looks tailor-made for success at higher levels of college basketball.
He’s one of those guys who just gets better every time you catch up with his tape. I’d bet on him as a high-major difference-maker next season.” Sam Vecenie
I wondered the same thing so I looked, makes no sense lol, nobody else averaged over even 18ppg and Dalton was over 20lbsHow in the world did he put up 20/7, lead the league in scoring during conference play and only make the second team?
