Exclusive — Trump Basks in Frontrunner Status: ‘I’m Honored’ by Polling Leads, ‘Party Is Very Unified’ Behind 2024 Campaign

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News exclusively on Friday night that he is “honored” to be the frontrunner for the White House in the 2024 presidential campaign.

Trump, just off his arraignment post-indictment in New York City, has seen a massive surge of support both in the GOP primary and in general election numbers in recent weeks.

“Well, I’m honored,” Trump said when asked why he thinks he is seeing the surge to frontrunner status. “Sadly, I have to say part of it is because the country is doing so poorly. I wish it were for other reasons. They saw how we did, and now they see the country doing so poorly and so pathetically. We’re not respected by anybody. You have wars all over. Ukraine and Russia never would have happened if I were president — zero chance. It looks like China is going to happen with Taiwan. That never would have happened. And inflation never would have happened. It was caused by energy prices more than anything else. So many of these things were just self-imposed foolish mistakes — stupid mistakes beyond anything anyone has ever seen before. So, yeah, I’m leading a lot in the polls — by 35 or 40 points in almost every poll. Texas just came in and we’re almost 50 points in Texas. Now, Massachusetts is almost 50 points.”

Keep pumping the guy who lost to Joe Biden. Lol. Jesus Franklin you are dumber than you post.

The Republican party is full of sleazy, disgusting cowards. It's got itself into a fix because most GOP politicians have been afraid for years to speak
out against Trump. Most of them know he's corrupt and dishonest and completely unfit for any public office, much less the presidency--but they fear losing the crazy MAGA vote and losing their seats. Anybody who actually endorses the gangster after Jan. 6 is genuinely sick and should not be in public office himself or herself.

I mean, look at Mike Pence. Is there a more pathetic politician in America? We had a president who spent days/weeks trying to bully and humiliate his vice president--a man who was little more than trump's lap dog for four years--because he wouldn't/couldn't help the gangster try to subvert the election. He then puts Pence in physical danger by denigrating him in front of the redneck mob on Jan. 6. Pence knows that the gangster lied and tried a coup--and yet he has only spoken out against trump in recent months in the softest and most diplomatic way. Why? Because HE'D like to be president (never happen) and he doesn't want to alienate MAGA. If he were smart and had any guts, he should have spent recent months trashing trump, as he deserves to be trashed. He might lose the rubes but he'd gain more respect from a lot of other voters.

Look at DeSantis. He's been almost the same way. The guy is loathsome--a bully and almost as bad as the gangster--but he's been very careful about his criticisms of Trump---for the same reason. He doesn't want to antagonize the rubes--even has Trump mocks him and everybody else, which is about all the gangster does. Trump's basic campaign tactic is to mock people--and people who like that sort of behavior are pretty crude and uncivilized themselves, like trump. Anybody who thinks the gangster--who will be indicted for other crimes, I'm sure, in the next few months--or anybody else is going to win the next presidential election with just the MAGA vote is going to be in for a rude awakening. Republican voters are dumb if they choose to nominate the dangerous and mentally sick man known as trump again.

Unfortunately, we're always presented with a bunch of turds from each party. I understand it's settling, but I try to look for the best overall package and potential. It doesn’t mean they're free of toilet water. On the GOP side I see potential in both Haley and Scott.

I like you, GCB, but Pete is a horrible choice honestly. Just this past weekend he's trying to claim highway and traffic deaths are the result of inequality.

Having been a traffic accident investigator for 10 years, I can say beyond a doubt he's FOS and it has nothing to do with race or anything else. At least not the race he's bringing up. Not everything has to be crammed into the "inequality" box. Not everything can be crammed into the inequality box regardless of this entire Administration's attempts.

If he wanted to "learn" and get into the system, he's not doing a great job at it. I don't care about his sexual orientation, I do care about his ability to actually perform and he's not doing it.

I'm not familiar with those comments, but it does sound dumb on the surface. I'd be curious to understand the data he's leveraging for that position. That aside, I'd wager I know precisely why he said it - political positioning. What was his biggest weakness in the 20 primary? Black voters. He's trying to bolster support.

I don't like it. I'd rather he be real like he was in the beginning (as much as a politician can be), which is what drew me to him.

If you have ever given thought to how authentic a politician needs to be to attract and retain your support, I'd like to discuss it with you.

In fact, we could even approach it this way:
What is your minimum threshold for authenticity on issues important to you and what is your minimum threshold for issues unimportant?

A lot of the time when you see "racial disparity" cited and you think it sounds stupid, just change it to "$ disparity" and it won't sound that stupid, and it's pretty close to the same thing. You're gonna end up with shittier roads, highways, intersections, etc. in areas where there is less $, and this seems pretty obvious that they're more dangerous. Who knows how much of a difference it makes, but it has to make a difference.

I think he's failing to mention that the cars these poor people are driving are probably a big part of the problem. I think it's silly that he's invoking "discrimination." But I don't find a problem with a lot of what he's saying here.

Yeah, it most always comes down to where wealth exists and where it doesn't. If minorities are largely found in the latter, then they will be interchanged.

It's not that complex for me. The majority are so obviously fake and dripping with hypocrisy, the few who don't stand out. In Pete’s case I'll admit his being new to the scene helped. I've never been a fan of politicians, but in the age of hyper-tribalism I found him refreshingly different.

Of course politics changes people. No disagreement.

Money for upkeep certainly matters. You can see that on a daily basis here in Memphis.

I see no evidence of any disparity when it comes to “design” though. They are the same intersections physically.

What Pete is doing is setting the stage for one of Marxist's favorite things: Wealth redistribution. It is correct that lots of places can't afford good infrastructure due to lack of a tax base. Where I'm at, the business owners and people with means moved from the Democratic lead haven of the city to the conservative outlying counties. The city can't afford anything now and the suburban areas are the land of milk and honey. So people like Pete want to take money from those that are fiscally responsible and give it to those that throw their money away. Classic Marxism.

I'm not going to argue the monetary angle of things as that can affect the outcome. But crappy roads are crappy roads regardless of diversity data in the local area. Oklahoma is the reddest of red states and has notoriously bad roads. The same can be said of the bluest of blue in California.

I'd like to see the stats he's basing his accusation on. And you can't use the "minorities drive worse cars" and back that up. Plenty of poor white trash drive crap vehicles too. Probably more if I had to guess.

To me, he was playing to the crowd with the notorious racist Al Sharpton. He can't back it up with actual stats, but MSNBC isn't going to make him either.

Yeah, I'm a data guy. I want to see the numbers.

And that was what I figured. He was trying to bolster his political position among black voters. Folks can see through this crap.

I just saw a Ron DeSantis ad. This is the first one I've seen. Looks like it's going to be a wild ride leading up to the convention. May the person that will beat the Commies nominee the worst win!
Have you seen this one? Trump attacks ads are all over the air down here.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn joins Wave of Tennessee Republicans Endorsing Trump

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) joined a crop of Tennessee Republicans endorsing former President Donald Trump's 2024 bid.

Echoing her Senate counterpart, Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN), who backed Trump over the weekend, Blackburn lauded Trump's achievements on the economy and border on Monday, framing his election to a second term as the solution to stubbornly high inflation and the influx of illegal immigrants into the United States. She is the ninth senator to back Trump.

If it weren't Trump's voice and face, I'd think it's Jesus. Such a good Christian man. Now I see why all the Jesus leg-humpers hump Trump's leg as well. Two peas in a pod those two.
