Democrats Choose Crime-Ridden City For 2024 Convention

Democrats have chosen Chicago as the location of their 2024 convention.

President Joe Biden called Illinois Democratic Governor J.B. Pritzker about the decision on Tuesday before departing on a trip to Northern Ireland, according to multiple reports.

Although the Windy City is grappling with high crime, the Democratic National Committee gave Chicago high marks for security and other logistical factors such as hotel capacity, financing, and transportation, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The countdown begins: First Republican presidential debate hosted by Fox News will be in August in Milwaukee - so who will Trump be facing on stage?

With just four months until the first Republican presidential primary debate, it's still unclear who will be on stage with only five candidates officially announced but dozens more rumored to be considering a run.

The Republican National Committee announced Wednesday that Fox News is to host the first debate of the 2024 election cycle, which will take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in August, coinciding with the RNC's summer meeting.

It is still not clear what parameters will need to be met for the candidates to reach the debate stage, but there are whispers that the RNC might require candidates to sign a commitment to support the eventual nominee if they want to participate.

Trump: I Don’t Think Biden Can Run in 2024 — ‘There’s Something Wrong’

Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday on FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that President Joe Biden will not run in 2024 because “there’s something wrong” with him.

Trump said, “Look, I watch him just like you do, and I think it’s almost inappropriate for me to say it. I don’t see how it’s possible. There’s something wrong. I saw his answer today on television about whether or not he was going to run to a very nice guy named Al Roker. You can’t get a softer question than that that was a long answer talking about the eggs and this and that. Look, I don’t think he can.”

Perhaps Trump should be looking at himself in the mirror and asking "how in the world did I lose to this guy?" and make necessary adjustments?? Instead, he continues the same tiring drumbeat that's going to cost the GOP again in the '24 election.

Newsome will be the Dem nominee and win it all. I could see states splitting away.
I know a lot of you don't like him, but Pete is probably the strongest Dem candidate. He won't run in 24 (and should not considering the current environment), but don't see many better options.

Come on? You have to be pulling our leg.
Not at all. Highly intelligent, very effective communicator, and not nearly as far left as folks make him out to be. Yes, he's guilty of too much political speak but we could do much worse. Give him a few more years and watch.

His biggest job was Mayor of a medium sized city, his term as SoT has been pretty much one cluster F after another to the point of being completely ineffectual. I get it, he's a well spoken and intelligent guy but nothing on his resume comes close to sniffing the Presidency.
