I see what you’re saying, but the formula to getting there might be different. We’ve spent 20 years fighting in and around the Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia. China didn’t fight the War on Terror, they spent the last twenty building up their navy, Air Force and conventional forces. They’ve also focused very strongly on espionage and have been committed to stealing everyone’s tech . There’s a lot less money put into research when you can find cheaper ways to steal it and all you do duplicate the technology of militaries from all over the world. The money that they have been spending on R&D has gone to developing hypersonic missiles that can be used to sink a carrier or battlefield drones or whatever else, anything that would help them win a conventional war.

Your earlier post got me looking. This is sobering and counter to beliefs. I dont think we have the gov policy or appropriately educated workforce to change the trend.

Isn't it amazing how we used to know what terms like "sick" and "salty" meant until a millennial or newer came along and reinvented them in a movie or something. Now a bunch of us read/hear one thing, another bunch something else, and the rest of us are just left wondering.

Somebody should remind dems they started this when they insisted people demonstrating in "government" buildings were insurrectionists and terrorists. Then they doubled down, prosecuted, and jailed the ones they could identify. As an example, these three idiots should be cooling their heels in a jail or out on bond waiting to be tried just as the "1/6 insurrectionists" were.

You're right about the government people and policy and about the new workforce, too. Not all of it is new. Best example would be why would you spend billions or trillions developing superior weaponry and leave access to the secrets behind it all open to your enemy? It's like a racing team building the next supercar and just leaving the shop and garage doors open to anybody who wants to copy it. Security failures kill people just as sure as a weapon ... only at less cost to the enemy.

Proud that he introduced changes to Title IX this week that destroys protection for women? What is sad is unlike the tolerant left I acknowledge that this man is my President. I completely disagree with everything about what he stands for but for better or worse he is my President. My disagreement with him does not stem from hate but a 50 year track record with zero accomplishments. It takes a soulless person to continue to exploit the tragic story of his son's death when it's politically expedient.
