Maybe this is a better analogy for you….Sure, it is most certainly part of the conversation. I know those of you who can only deal in absolutes are having difficulty, but keep trying to work your way through it.
My oft stated position: I could easily compromise on a bill making certain surgeries illegal for anyone under the age of 18, as long as there are provisions for the extraordinary situations. I believe most every dem and repub would agree.
You guys feel free to state your position, unless that is somehow difficult.
I feel foolish.
I've been there done that and have the dunce hat.
Oh the prickly bush, it pricks my heart full sore
And if ever I'm out of the prickly bush
I'll never get in it any more
Maybe this is a better analogy for you….
How about this…It is at least as equally good at supporting my position.
No one is dumb enough to say it is now illegal to amputate limbs because of a couple of stupid doctors and patients.
Sometimes, limbs need to be amputated. Sometimes they should not be amputated.
My position is "amputate them when they should be and don't amputate them when they should not be."
Again, my oft stated position: I could easily compromise on a bill making certain surgeries illegal for anyone under the age of 18, as long as there are provisions for the extraordinary situations. I believe most every dem and repub would agree.
Please, someone state a clearly worded position that differs. Good grief, you guys are absolutely phobic when it comes to actually stating and then defending a position.
My first post referred to appropriate gender surgeries…..genetic, embryonic or gestational malformations.Look.....agreement!!!!!! I was confident we could get there.
Now can we agree that surgery for other purposes may very well be appropriate?
I'm sure he checked one of this administration's boxes.Biden's pick for US FAA Administrator pulls out of the race after GOP critics slammed his lack of experience - as US air travel deals with catalogue of shambolic near-misses
President Biden's pick to head the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has withdrawn himself from being considered - after facing criticism for his lack of aviation experience amid six high-profile near-miss collisions earlier this year.
- Phillip Washington, 65, is withdrawing his nomination after Republican criticism
Also cited by critics against Washington's ascension to top aviation regulator are his potential legal entanglements, including questions about his connection to a corruption investigation in Los Angeles while heading the county's MTA.

Like I said, you have no grasp of the issue if you think "every dem" agrees with banning gender- transition surgery on minors.I could easily compromise on a bill making certain surgeries illegal for anyone under the age of 18, as long as there are provisions for the extraordinary situations. I believe most every dem and repub would agree.
Then I guess we are pretty close to agreement, I would just change your last statement to........Gender reassignment surgery under other circumstances is treating a psychologic condition 99% of the time and shouldn’t be performed on that 99%. Period. My first post referred to appropriate gender surgeries…..genetic, embryonic or gestational malformations.
Gender reassignment surgery under other circumstances is treating a psychologic condition and shouldn’t be performed. Period.
Your article claimed 56 genital surgeries in 2021 for kids between the ages of 13-17. Hardly an epidemic. If I had details on each of the 56, I might find one or two that I found appropriate, maybe zero. But I am wise enough to acknowledge the possibility that one or two may have been legitimate.
