I believe it is a non-issue. I'm confident it pretty much NEVER happens, but unless there are some really unique circumstances, I would be against it.
I could easily compromise on a bill making certain surgeries illegal for anyone under the age of 18, as long as there are provisions for the extraordinary situations. I believe most every dem and repub would agree.
The right attempting to make it some kind of political boogey man is just one more example of how they easily manipulate the unthinking while making the country a worse place for everyone.
It’s an issue. It’s happening all over the country. Some much younger than 16. Some of these parents get full-blown indoctrinated by progressive liberals and this type of thing becomes a means to social capital.I personally know someone who had her tah-tahs chopped off at the ripe old age of 16. Her mother did sign off on it, but if the law was different she would have absolutely went and done it on her own.

Again. Leftist posters want to pretend like the modern democrat party is full of moderate voters and moderate representatives. Nah. Many democrats today are fine with child castration (though they wouldn’t call it that) and many democrat reps openly affirm this heinous act.

The funny thing is just a few short years ago these perverts were leading the charge against things like female genital mutilation as practiced in Africa and the Middle East. They'll still not blink an eye and tell you they're against that, or against other physical tortures that happen around the world. It’s an issue. It’s happening all over the country. If their are no "unique situations", then what is the harm in putting in a provision for "unique situations"?There are no “unique situations” that would require a minor to have a sex change.
In most states a minor can’t get a freeking tattoo even with a parent’s permission yet your party wants to allow permanent disfigurement without consultation with a parent.
I can't think of one but I'm confident there may be one or two....that's why it seems like such a harmless compromise. Can you offer up some examples of "extraordinary situations" that would cause this to be OK with you?
If their are no "unique situations", then what is the harm in putting in a provision for "unique situations"?
The comment "your party wants to allow permanent disfigurement without consultation with a parent" is about even more stupid that this comment "your party wants to convict and imprison any woman who has ever or will ever have an abortion for murder"
Remember, your statement was even STUPIDER (ant the fact that you believe the statement you made is true is stupidest)
I'm a little more informed on this subject than you are, and I have personally dealt with several kids affected by this crazy BS.If their are no "unique situations", then what is the harm in putting in a provision for "unique situations"?

I'm far more informed than you on the trials and tribulations of children passing into, through, and out of puberty. I have also dealt with numerous kids affected by this.I'm a little more informed on this subject than you are, and I have personally dealt with several kids affected by this crazy BS.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that you have no idea what you are talking about, nor do you understand the legislation involved.
If you actually believe what you are typing, you would change sides on the issue.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that you have no idea about the daily trials and tribulations these children face. If you actually had a broader base of experience, you wouldn't view this issue from such a simplistic perspective.
