There is no protection and you just admitted this law is targeting a specific group while similar laws already exist. You've also admitted it would be misinterpreted by those charged with upholding the law. How is this still a thing?

Yes an those laws that te supposed
to be equally applied are not...I ad a straight male cannot perform a sexually explicit show in front of children....but put on panties bra and skirt. And suddenly I can because freedom expression??? If you can't see the issue with that there is nothing left to discuss....

I've never been to a drag show, adult themed or not but I can't believe they're much worse than what you can see out at 2' on Old Hickory every weekend and there are kids all around. It's quite a show.

So, by your own admission, the laws on the books are sufficient yet aren't enforced. Then there is no need for new laws only people willing to enforce them. That is not a legislative issue. Equal protection applies to everyone

Just stick with the law, not hypotheticals

He insists it targets a certain group, yet can’t cite it from the law. Must be in the fine print, maybe he means adults.

Again the highest ELECTED position ,(by the people of Florida) created a law to close a loop hole that already existing laws were ignoring...you can no longer hide behind a sexual identity..which was what was happening.

You're being lied to. There is no loophole only unwilling enforcers. If the law exists then enforce it. If not then get rid of it since it's not doing any good.

The loophole is hiding behind freedom of expression because they are "expressing" themselves, just seem to be happening more and more in the presence of kids...we will have to agree to disagree

There is no loophole. They can't hide if the law already exists. You simply have cowards that wasn't to target a specific group because they're scared to do their job. If the act is as illegal as you claim then enforce and fight it in the courts.

Doesn't a bill like this encourage those cowards but knowing that they won't be persecuted for engorcing the law against a minority community??? So even if it gets shot down...maybe those cowards will start enforcing it equally....Im not convinced it'll get thrown out. But I'm curious to watch the hearings

If this is such a dire emergency that legislation is required then they should be enforcing the current law already. This is ignorance hiding behind a pen and paper
