Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2025-26

honestly I don’t mind LSUs players outside of Reese really. She ruins it for her teammates sadly and contributes to a lot of unnecessary hate they do get. Don’t think she is a positive influence on her teammates as good as she is.

Morris has a bit of an ego (not the only one) but withstanding basketball, happy to see she ended her career on a good note and will earn a college degree (even if it’s year 6). After getting kicked off Baylor her freshmen year. I will be happy we won’t have to deal with her next year.
I’m “friends” with Alexis Morris sister on Facebook, and she’s very open and shares information about the team sometimes and the play where Angel pushed off on Hollingshead in the SEC semis and called for an offensive foul, apparently wasn’t the play that was supposed to happen and Morris was upset about it. She was supposed to come set a screen for Morris and apparently she blew that up.

Of course it’s Facebook, but I’m starting to agree and think Angel and Morris in particular don’t really get along behind closed doors. If they do, Morris’s sister seems to think otherwise.

This makes way more sense. I didn’t think that was the play Kim drew up. 99% of the time in that situation she wants her PG going toward the hoop. Not her forward.

Just like the final play in the NCAA when Chloe Jackson took it to the hole. Kim is a point guards point guard and wants the ball in their hands in those moments.

It was a weak foul on Reese in my opinion, but a foul no less. You cannot extended your arm fully and displace the defender in that manner. Especially above the shoulders.

Reese displace the defender a lot it's just not called

I agree, she does it both on the rebound and when going up to score. She frequently pushes people in the back to rebound. We just went right ahead and did the same. I noticed Jackson and Hollingshed were pushing Williams and Reese under the basket on rebounds. It was happening on both ends so wasn’t called.

Hilarious coming from a UConn fan. Many moons ago I tried to be a civil participant on the Boneyard but was harangued every step of the way and eventually blocked for no reason other than being a UT fan.

You attribute being blocked just for being a volunteer fan. I was kicked off of the site before I made my very first post. I appealed, and was allowed back on without explanation or apology. I was then suspended for reporting a political post, for get this, making the complaint too long. I was then permanently blocked for responding to a political post that they would not remove. The original political post was aligned with their beliefs, while mine was in opposition to that. To this day, the original political post is still on the site. Therefore, you might argue that the issue is not Volunteer versus husky, but rather administrators drunk with power, that are not very nice people, and with political agendas I might add.

Either way, it’s a garbage forum with no discourse. It’s all too curated and rah rah for me.

I honestly could care less as long as both teams get called for the same fouls or they let both teams play. That’s all I ever want from officiating. Just be consistent with both teams.

Speaking of pushing off. Clark from Iowa makes a living doing that on offense, but rarely ever seems to get called for it.

Same that’s my biggest beef. There shouldn’t be such a huge disparity in the calls in home vs away games either.

LSU should have a lost a few games at home but the zebras handed it to them with a massive FT disparity.

Clark does push off quite a bit but she’s also very good at getting open. Remind me of Larry Bird in that way. He was just impossible to guard.

All you say is true. but at the same time they have some great insiders and analysis of all the potential recruits. If you want an insight into all the available high school talent follow SLUConn. Dillon77, a big Notre Dame guy, has outstanding game analysis.

$10 says UNLV loses to Wyoming today.

Ain’t no way UNLV is the 21st best team in the country. 30-2 or not. They just aren’t.

If they’re going to continue the Coaches and AP polls they need to have a P 5 and Mid-Major poll separately. It’s silly to think any of those teams would have the record they do if they were playing in a legit conference.
Truth!

That was a great game and Ironically, Kim had gotten Chloe Jackson from none other than LSU that season out of the transfer portal as a grad transfer.

You are right. We talked to people who are in the LSU program who said the same thing. Kim was already fuming, so that probably just got played out in her histrionics about the call,

We don't even know how often she does it because she is lightening quick when she makes a move for her initial shot. That is part of the reason why the one at the end of our game was so hard to see until slow-mo camera work showed it.

All I know about the Boneyard is that it's going to be one of the most entertaining websites in the world after Auriemma retires and the program regresses to the mean. It won't happen at first, there'll be a lot of residual momentum, some ups and downs similar to Holly's tenture at Tennessee, but once those pedestrian Ls start showing up? Mmm-mmmmmm. Gonna be very, very entertaining to watch them eat their own. They haven't known hardship for so many years now. Soft and ripe.

And after all the snotty crap they posted on their forums about Pat Summitt over the years, I will definitely be tuning in for the show.

I actually think she has mellowed a bunch this year....
I'm not sure how mellow she has gotten. She still keeps a tight rein and I think she enjoys it. Over the years I have been banned from the Boner 4 times.

It remains the most informative Forum for UConn WCBB info.

I get the whole thing about no game posts during games, I kinda agree with that. But in the past she has wielded the ban hammer too fast, it’s their site though so they can run it as they please, and yes, they are still one of the top 1-3 programs imo so they can do or say as they please, it’s just different there when HuskyNan runs folks off for little to no reason. I do think she has softened a bunch this year though. Good for her and their site, which honestly has some of the best WCBB stuff around like this site. I’m just not gonna tell her my new username on that site lol…..No way I’m there as Rooster. Y’all can read and guess. I love this WCBB game, is the best imo.

Morris has been off this year to me. Much different demeanor than with last years team when she was super consistent every week. As great as Reese has been for their program this year, it certainly has caused some noticeable chemistry issues with her coming in. Seem like Morris is more so tolerating it. Heck I don’t even Kim cares for her antics either, at least if you see her face and her responses in post game presser. Look like a coach biting her tongue until better players come in. Because without her, the team is in massive rebuild mode. I never saw a Baylor team with that level of behavior

I suspect their descent will be hard and fast. Geno is that program. In so many more ways even than Pat was Tennessee. Pat took others along with her.

It’s the Geno and CD show and I think they will bow out together and they will tank after that.

Maybe UNLV shouldn't be ranked that high, but why you would pick them to lose to Wyoming is baffling. Certainly, anything can happen, the question is what will probably happen.
Earlier this year UNLV beat Wyoming 71-57, in a game played in Laramie. Tonight's game will be at home for UNLV. If I had to pick a winner, it would be UNLV. It doesn't mean they will win, only that the odds favor them. And isn't that the criteria for placing a bet ?

Morris has been great this year, though has had a few off games. Morris had to adopt her game to become a point guard this year, so this may account for her somewhat erratic scoring. She is first string all-SEC, and I don't think she has received conference honors in any of the previous seasons. By all accounts in Baton Rouge, she and Reese are very close and are able to call each out without harming their relationship.

I make y’all think so much. It’s hilarious.
