The bullpens are the most striking thing to me. Every single team in the league, even awful ones, have 3-4 guys who all throw like 96-99. If you were watching a baseball game just 10 years ago and a guy was pitching who was consistently in the upper 90s, you'd notice it. Now that's basically a prerequisite.Man it’s crazy how baseball has changed. I remember in 09 when Tommy Hanson TOUCHED 96 in his rookie year and went “oh my god we finally have a real fire baller as a starter!”
Now guys that average 92-93 on their fastball aren’t MLB quality fastballs
