So proud of my home state

Nah, there have to be guardrails. Society has shown throughout history, that it needs guardrails.
Aren't you talking about increasing governmental regulation, and thus, allowing the government to have even more of an intrusive presence in our daily lives? Including a say in how we dress?

I thought Conservatives / Republicans were in favor of smaller government, and less regulation ???

I suspect lawsuits would be filed and this would get pushed to the SCOTUS if by some chance Bill Lee were to sign this bill. I can see where it would be ruled as a violation of 1A (freedom of expression), but I can’t see how state legislators wrote this bill and apparently didn’t once consider 1A in the process.

Politicians on both sides of the aisle have a tendency to ignore the Constitution when trying to get their way.

Govt already has a prominent role in our lives. Lets not pretend otherwise.

There are decency laws and laws pertaining to what minors can and cant do. There is nothing novel here. SCOTUS wouldnt strike this down.

Sure, wrt minors. Some dude (adult) dressing in drag just because or at an adult nightclub show is going to be a different deal. SCOTUS will look at this from a 1A perspective if it were to pass and still uphold any laws protecting minors. Pride parades may also have a carve out. We will see.

So there’s years of legal precedent involving minors and drag shows? Quote a case for me. Just one.

Yes. The point of being an ACTUAL conservative is to rage against the machine. Not to say “ well since it’s already happening we should just roll over and let more government in”.

Just wondering, where do you draw the line between responsible libertarianism and anarchy. Not meant to be trolling. It is not an easy question for anyone on the right. Obviously some things HAVE to be illegal right even if they don’t directly impact others?

Says you.

Conservatives are losers. They have conserved nothing and continually lose ground.

It won't - but funny thing is you just keep putting enough stuff through and eventually you just keep moving the goal posts to the right.

Think about when we grew up there was not a single openly gay character on film and gays couldnt serve in the military. Now consider where we are today. That much lampooned slippery slope was a lot more slippery than we thought and now, every perversion is not only acceptable, its ADMIRABLE.

Even so, we should take a lesson from the gay lobby and their enormous success in obliterating our moral norms to get what they wanted. They would ask for 500% of what they expected, legislators and little old grannies would howl in the streets and much ruckus would ensue. When the dust settled, the gay lobby got maybe only 10-15% of what they asked for and conservatives went back to their cubby holes, smugly sure that they had beat off the barbarian horde. Then it happens again, with the same result. What the myopic rubes do not realize is that each wave goes further up the beach...until everything we knew is underwater.

Having been so successful and finally getting gay marriage ensconced, the problem is that the gay lobby machine still existed. Many gays went about their business but the progressive activists had to keep making a living so they fixated on the new thing and then promoted it into existence. A significant number of homosexuals now scratch their heads and even recoil in horror at the vast subversion of morality promulgated by the movement they and their sort, ignited - so depraved it has become in the name of "tolerance".

You may be sure that if we do not beat this back in some way, pedophilia will not only be an accepted thing in our lifetime, it will be lauded and praised as good for children.

Damn son. You just dry humped the slippery slope into a callous.

Well done.

I’d prefer more competent individuals that realize the country is circling the bowl due to all of the liberal lunacy and their disgusting agenda. She stands up against it, but she appears somewhat crazy herself.

Somewhat?

Carl, has your wife flown over the cuckoo nest or something? You need to tell us something?
