Same with Touki. Super athletic, supposedly good curve ball (was overrated), and big arm. Still gotta get it over the plate

It's going to make for an awkward first month for sure. I don't hate the idea of a pitch clock, but they needed to phase it in somehow rather than ripping off the bandaid and expecting these guys to adapt.

I just think it’s similar to the other rule changes: doesn’t really move the needle bringing new eyeballs but annoying current viewers

Basically there’s no need to mess with in-game play when the between innings commercial break is long enough for me to put a kid down for bed

I get they aren’t alleviating the commercial load anytime soon but I don’t need to decreasing the baseball : commercial ratio behind the banner of shortening the game

That's probably true. Nobody is tuning in to see bigger bases, no shift and pitchers having nervous breakdowns from having to work quickly.

The pitch clock is gonna be annoying for a bit and then by May will be good. It will help a little bit

I’m so glad kolten wong struck out in 17 seconds. Now we can really get to that next commercial break!

I thought banning the shift was going to cause people to make more contact!

Glad Kolton had time to recall Martinez’s two strike tendencies and prepare for what might be coming!

What happens if there are a couple guys on base and heaven forbid Martinez needs to shake the catcher off? Automatic ball.

That’s a terrible product. Essentially turning plate appearances into speed dating.
