It is crazy how difficult pitching prospects are tho. All those guys were ranked higher than Fried in their prospect rankings and he’s the best pitcher we’ve had since late 90’s Smoltz/Maddux

The Allard pick is still puzzling and we doubled down with his catcher lol inexplicable. Hindsight is 20/20, but there was nothing to dream on at all to reach for him with the back injury

IMO Newk is the biggest "what if" guy. Look how much bigger than Max he is in that picture, and Max is not a small man himself.

Huge dude, lefty, high 90s fastball, big breaking curveball. He had everything except the ability to actually pitch.
