Any of you Morans visited Mexico City? Going down next month for work. Looking for places to go......Applebee's is definitely on the must see list.

Be careful. Very dangerous city…lots of violent crime and kidnapping of foreigners for ransom. I would be very nervous to go there and I’m from Memphis.

Good luck!

I'll also say this, the local sports media is just absolute trash man.

Made the mistake of tuning into 99.1 this morning, thinking "hey we just beat the #1 team in the country should be a good morning" WRONG.

Tyler just wants to try and trash fans because he apparently thinks a regular season win is that big of a deal that the fans who want to see us get to the Elite Eight aren't praising the win enough or something. So for what brief time I listened he kept asking questions to prompt Logan to respond, then he just interrupted and didn't let Logan reply at all.

Huge win, and it matters. But most fans want to see this top 10 team make an Elite Eight and that's absolutely okay, I sure hope Barnes and the team are focusing on trying to win it all and not hanging their hat on big regular season wins only.

How TN makes the playoffs via ESPN:

10. Tennessee Volunteers
As much as it hurts to lose Hendon Hooker at quarterback, Joe Milton III provided a lot of hope with the way he played in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson. Few, if any, players in college football possess his arm strength, and if he can play with the same efficiency as Hooker (which is asking a lot), Josh Heupel has proved the Vols can score points in bunches. Clearly, Tennessee's pass defense has to improve after finishing 127th nationally last season. It cost the Vols a chance at the playoff a year ago after giving up 453 passing yards and six touchdown passes during a 63-38 loss to South Carolina in the next-to-last game of the regular season. The schedule also gets a bit tougher in 2023 with SEC trips to both Florida and Alabama, although two-time defending national champion Georgia has to come to Knoxville in late November. -- Chris Low

Stomach bug has hit our house with a vengeance. Momma and both boys, and I reckon I’m probably next. I’ve been thrown up on 3 times and pooped on once today. Love my poor boys, please pray for them😔
Yep, as expected I was the next victim on virus warpath. Actually threw up through my nostril a little bit earlier, which is a first🤣 absolutely brutal though

Not sure I'd say the schedule gets tougher...in fact I'd point out that at Pittsburgh (finished 9-4) at LSU (finished 10-4) at Georgia (finished 15-0) are arguably much more difficult places to play than at Florida (who finished 6-7) at Bama (only really rough road test next year IMO), at Kentucky and at Missouri will be.

So we play 1 less road game and our OOC games are Virginia, Austin Peay, UTSA, and UConn. (none near as good as Pittsburgh)

Virginia was 3-7 last year and we get them in Nashville (Neyland West). South Carolina is here just before our Bye week, then we get A&M here right after our Bye week (and they will have already played Auburn and Bama). We do have back to back road games at Bama then at Kentucky but really most our toughest test will have some space between them.

He sounds like a ton of the posters on VQ in the GQ forum. Any criticism of CRB and they tear your head off

No it wasn't even that...it was that rather than you know have a discussion about the game OR what it could mean for the team's confidence heading into March he just wanted to fan bash and not hear the other side.

Huge win, let's talk about that and comment on that...Tyler instead wants to whine about -some- fans saying "doesn't matter in March"

I kinda do the same on Rick Barnes slander. There's the obvious deserved criticism for lack of March success and that probably always will be. BUT, if you look at the details, we lost on a buzzer-beater 3 by the cinderella team in admiral/grant's next to last year. Then we lost on a complete BS foul against Purdue with the shooter kicking his leg out. If that doesn't happen, and it never should have, we make the Elite 8 that year and only God knows from there.

Most other Barnes criticism, IMO, is criticizing him on whatever bar he's set. We're not a historic basketball program so having a coach this good just makes me thankful for the years remaining. He's continuing to recruit extremely well, his teams are disciplined and play hard, and he's done everything with grace and class all along the way. I overlook most of the flaws because we have no business being this good for this long in basketball.

Yeah our highest rated rebounder per game is JJJ at 5.3 (24th in the SEC) Aidoo is sitting at 5.1 a game (29th). Then ON, Phillips, and Santi all around the 35th spot.

Santi is our highest in PPG at 12.3 which is 22nd in the SEC.

ZZ is 2nd in the league in APG at 5.5 (Santi is 22nd with 2.7)

We have 2 guys in the top 4 in steals at 2.0 both ZZ & Santi

And now Aidoo is 9th in BPG with 1.2

So yeah it's a stat that jumps out when you state it the way ESPN did, but they don't mention the other important stats and the fact we've got guys in the top 10 there...shows that a lot of these talking heads only look at points and rebounds for the be all stats.

True, and they were really showing the love for Alabama almost the entire game (I guess that happens when you're #1). Still, if Phillips started being 'the guy' to take over in tough times, this team would be scary.

I don't understand why she thought that was making fun of someone with Cancer.
Neither did I & I was also curious why our guys were striking that pose. Evidently John Metchie did it (along with another WR) after scoring when he was playing for Bama, became a thing (maybe). Then Auburn did it after sweeping them in basketball. Metchie diagnosed with leukemia this past summer. I think it's a bit of a reach on the part of the reporter, but after reading about the origins, I'm fine if we never do it again. (I had thought it was just the idea (a la Karate Kid) of underdog winning.)

He's already leading the team in FTs & FTAs and is 2nd on the team in 2PTs & 2PTAs. He's just not found the best way to do it in SEC play every night. I'd like to see him doing less 1 on 1 driving and more catch and shoot off the motion action. In HS I think his size and length was enough he could get to the rim at will, but he's learning that in the SEC that's not the case. And he's not got elite handles or speed like KC had or like ZZ has.
