Want to brag on my son a bit and how proud I am of him. He ruptured his plantaris muscle (calf) in semi final game in November. Held him out of the state championship game unfortunately. He gave it a go, but only lasted 3 plays due to pain.
He took the down time to work on upper body, and made some big gains. 225 bench and 225 hang clean, Then was able to rip off a 4.56 40 yesterday. 15 years old, 180.

that's awesome! sounds like you've raised him well.

btw, personally my hang clean numbers are impressive. Got three work shirts washed, dried, and hung this week. 🤦🏼‍♂️ #adulting #getting old sucks

Seriously though those are some good numbers, at 15! Doing it the right way keeping speed and agility. Seen waay too many dudes bouncing 225 at the gym, and unable to tie their own shoes

Funny how those who always spew nonsends like that are no air to be found after a big win. 😆 they need to come down off their peddle stool and realize he's one of the top5-10 coaches in the country.
Literally, we start losing a game and this thread blows up. We lose and it goes nuclear.

We are winning then knock off #1 and its radio silence.

Ha, literally lol’d!
Thank you!
He’s been working hard, eating right, and grinding. He's determined to play at next level. I told him his mother and I would give him the tools, the dedication and work is up to him.
Y’all feel free to give him a follow. I’m sure he’d love some Vol love, he bleeds orange!

I thought we would win bc this game had so many of the factors that I found to be true when I use to gamble all the time.

1. We are a good team that had recently struggled against poor competition.

2. We were the Hone team.

3. We had lost two of our good players( other players seem to up their intensity for a game or two before it levels off)

4. Alabama had recently been named number 1( teams always seem to lose focus when that happens… just look at our times as the number one team in the country)

We won bc we had more focus and intensity than Alabama….Feels good to be a Vol today.
Hone team is always clutch.

Idk. . . I tried to figure it out, but couldn't find a reason. Bama should've been favored by 3-5pts, based on the past couple weeks. Even adding in home court should brought it to pk/+100.

Vegas is so good it's scary. Sure, the miss a few here and there, but generally they look like wizards with the caps they make.

I'd say they actually had Tennessee @ -5.5, but didn't set the line there, to encourage even betting. Even at -3.5 most people took Bama.

They must know who is refing and their tendencies. Some refs are just more lenient than others. They let us play physical last night so maybe Vegas knew it was coming.

Then again, we’re good at defense and Bama does not turn over their opponents. Maybe they knew that as well.

I've got a wooden, 7' tall fence around my backyard/swimming pool area. No holes or unlocked gates.

I heard some noises and checked to see what was going on. There was an adult German Shepard in the yard. I have no idea how he made it in. There is no one else here and no one outside. There is 1 tree near the fence. . .

Can a German Shepard climb/jump a 7' fence? Only thing I can think is he somehow jumped over. Wish I had a video of it.

If he's not already, get him doing something for flexibility. Yoga, Dance, general stretching routine... will help him with his sports goals, but more importantly it'll help later in life with the joints.

Any of you Morans visited Mexico City? Going down next month for work. Looking for places to go......Applebee's is definitely on the must see list.

1) Drive up & down Paseo de la Reforma, main street in town with statues etc. Supposedly inspired by Paris' Champs Elysees.
2) Chapultepec Park.
3) Teotihuacan: Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon

IDK, but I once had a 95# Rottweiler that jumped over our 6' fence when she saw a neighbor's dog come across our front yard. 🙂

Then years ago in Canada, I had an employee who got in trouble with the cops because her German Shepherd jumped over her backyard fence several times, and one time the dog wound up biting someone who was just walking by.

I hope we don't turn around and lose to KY.

But I could see that happening.
We could lose to any talented and even mediocre team. This is good team with flaws that can beat anybody when they play really hard...when they let up a little on defense (or the opponent just has one of THOSE games) and/or the offense completely tanks (which they do somewhat consistently) they can lose to anybody.

They can't control horrid biased crooked officiating or the opponent just having one of THOSE random shooting nights...but they can definitely control showing up focused and playing hard like they did last night.

Absolutely! Flexibility has been a focus this winter. He’s bullish like any 15yo boy on stretching and flexibility, but he’s getting better.
