I had a lot of fun at that game. We brought it tonight. The refs gave Bama their chances, but it wasn't enough. I think this team is better without JJJ and Phillips. Those two don't have the killer instincts out there. If anything they should come off the bench. The starting lineup tonight brought it, especially Aidoo. He's our anchor defensively. I really enjoyed that swat near the rim to half court in the 2nd half.

That team can win it all, especially this year. But I’m telling you, if they don’t get the turnovers under control and they draw a hot shooting team, they’ll go home early with the March Madness board game.

Im probably bouncing them S16 and Purdue EE in my brackets.

Gonna miss Darnell like Trey and Cade before. Hopefully the next 5* type BA is already on the team just without the stahs. But sure wouldn't hurt if we could grab a couple in the next few years. Our offense will hum as long as our OL is competent.

Darnell improved leaps and bounds with the coaching change. I don't think people realize how much of an effect his loss could have on us, I mean he completely shut down several great DL last year...I hope somebody can pick up that slack.

Winning without them was a real accomplishment.

I thought we would win bc this game had so many of the factors that I found to be true when I use to gamble all the time.

1. We are a good team that had recently struggled against poor competition.

2. We were the Hone team.

3. We had lost two of our good players( other players seem to up their intensity for a game or two before it levels off)

4. Alabama had recently been named number 1( teams always seem to lose focus when that happens… just look at our times as the number one team in the country)

We won bc we had more focus and intensity than Alabama….Feels good to be a Vol today.

It wasn't that I didn't want to wear white, I didn't own any white UT gear. Wife went every where ( she wasn't going west, or to campus) no white anywhere. I ended up wearing a white button down dress shirt.

This team will go as far as their defensive intensity and luck take them. When their defensive intensity is too low they can be got by anybody because the offense is so inconsistent, but when the intensity is turned up to 11 they are a really tough out.

I understand...it's hard to get up like that for Vandy, Florida and Mizzou in the late stages of the year..but those type teams and especially NCAA tourney teams can and will beat us if and when we don't bring it.

Hopefully that lesson sticks with them and the team can at least reap that benefit of those hard bought lessons from here on out.

As far as luck goes...see the last two games before this one...sometimes random things just happen in basketball.

I don't agree..we've played well several times and just lost to other teams that were also playing well...or we were just flat unlucky.

The coach should always get the blame/credit…. It’s his team.

As a professional the coach should take the blame but give credit to the players, assistants. That doesn't mean in reality things don't happen that are beyond our control. I've always tried to defend players, keep a tight lid on information,and keep parents, media etc at arms length.

I don’t know if I agree with that…. I have won a lot of money off of them not knowing…. When it is the number one team in the country…. They are typically tough to beat.
