Different rules apply when you are a defacto prospect for the Presidency. This ain’t some small town attorney running for County Supervisor. The reason many of my law enforcement clients do not promote more gun ownership has nothing to do with control. It has to do with risk of confrontation.
So here is DeSantis crowing about wheeeeee guns. But not when it creates risk to HIM.

The main reason for carrying a firearm is self defense. In a tightly controlled venue where no one brings in a weapon, I would not feel the need to pack. Not exactly likely to get mugged in the restroom of a Republican convention. So this gun owner has no problem with surrendering my firearm in that scenario.
I'll agree with you. If republicans pick Trump over him, they're asking for another loss. I'm not confident either side will choose a legitimate candidate, both seem obsessed with picking the worst choice.I obviously don't like DeSantis but I will say in reading more about him, he has a very impressive resume that one would hope to see from a serious candidate for President.
I knew that he had a Bachelor's from Yale and that he had a JD from Harvard. I didn't know that he joined the United States Navy in 2004, and that he was deployed to Iraq in 2007 ... and that he reached the rank of Lieutenant before serving as a legal advisor to SEAL Team One.
Policies and culture war crap aside ... that's not bad at all. If Republicans nominate Trump over DeSantis, then that just means that your party is self-destructive.
It would be consistent of the Republican Party to nominate Trump for the 3rd straight Presidential Election cycle, watch him lose again, and then spend another 4 years whining about how he was cheated, all the while belly-aching about Biden ... when you could have easily beaten him with DeSantis.I'll agree with you. If republicans pick Trump over him, they're asking for another loss. I'm not confident either side will choose a legitimate candidate, both seem obsessed with picking the worst choice.

I don't think Republicans are collectively intelligent enough to nominate DeSantis. They are married to Trump, and too heavily invested in his lies at this point.Desatan is going to get the nod, and I'll tell you why.
1: Trump will be charged with SOMETHING. Don't ask me which charge he will be hit with yet, there are so many.
2: Desatan went full on evil dictator hard ass to get the truthers and extremists on board early.
3: "Team normal" is telling him to back off a little and they will support him.
4: Frumpy can't shut his fat mouth.

It seems like a lot of folks "in government" already know what's coming down the pike. They've seen the reports. They know what trump is about to be hit with. If desantan can bring in the moderates. That's all it's going to take. Trump will not be available for this election. There is a criminal sentencing in his NEAR future. Team normal is distancing themselves in a hurry.
Things are not as bleak for Biden/Harris as right-wing media would have you believe. At the current trend, inflation will not be much of an issue in the fall of 2024.You radical leftists should focus more on the epic disaster that is Biden/Harris and less about who we will pick in our primary

If it's Biden vs DeSantis in 2024, it will be a close election, but I would have to give DeSantis the advantage.
However, if it's Biden vs Trump .... then Biden will win, and the electoral college map will look exactly like it did in 2020 - and the MAGA losers will once again whine about fraud and how they were cheated. Let's face it ... that is exactly what is going to happen. Republican voters will stubbornly stick with Trump.
Just waiting for some hard core, fascist nut who doesn't think DeSantis or other Republiar candidate isn't extreme enough, tries to shot him/her. It's coming, the crazies are already loose.

That means so much coming from a MAGA booster.Dang..you are sheepish.
First time in 2 years you focused on something. other than Trump. Now blowing rainbows up everyones ass.
Which crayon color were these "metrics" of yours documented with? LOL.This admin is the worst by any METRICS that I have seen in my years.
It has been posted. negative historical metrics
It will be Biden vs Trump again ... with the same electoral college map as 2020. You can always just claim your boy was cheated again. So, there's that.If Biden wins the nomination again the Democratic Party is beyond hope.
Trump will not win the Republican nomination. Despite your obsession with him, his base has shrunk. And it’s only going to go down from here.
The American people are pretty stupid, but I would think they will remember the **** years under Biden. Inflation may cool off before the election, but it won’t normalize before then without a recession. The more important measure for voters will be, “Have my wages caught up to two years of inflation?”
