Atlanta Falcons potentially could acquire Aaron Rodgers per today's Knoxville News Sentinel.
I think that would be a great pickup.
Thoughts from the group?
I thought about it seriously only several occasions but it's just not worth it. Needing 5 different accounts was a huge drawback, and then every stream for live sports being 30 seconds behind would drive me insane. I know there's still a delay with cable but I can scroll through twitter while watching a game on TV and not know what happens ahead of time.I don't have a good option for cable, so it's neither here nor there for me, but streaming has definitely not advanced the way it should have and they are basically morphing into online cable companies forcing a bunch of crappy channels nobody wants. I still think there's a cost savings for most people, but at some point it's not worth jumping through the hoops. If they ran cable to my house tomorrow, I'd probably switch if the price was anywhere in the ballpark just for the convenience.
"They" still don't even have streaming figured out from a purely technical perspective either, IMO. There are still way too many random freezes/cut outs, gets blurry, have to randomly re-enter credentials for no reason, etc. Cable is just easier.I thought about it seriously only several occasions but it's just not worth it. On a side not though TV being behind sports books drive me crazy, live betting is still 10 seconds behind any book.
A lot of it is retraining yourself a little bit to watch TV via apps instead of the instant changing of a channel. That part isn’t really a big deal unless you’rea chronic channel changer or something.I thought about it seriously only several occasions but it's just not worth it. I can't remember the last time I had a problem with YTTV. I've yet to have to re-enter my credentials either (plus you can just save them. I know, so hard)."They" still don't even have streaming figured out from a purely technical perspective either, IMO. So far, it's been a total bill of goods and not what people hoped for.
Most of that is on the ISP and not the streamers, although some apps (like Ballys) do truly suck. It’s all part of the experience though, and you’re right, they should have this figured out a little better by now."They" still don't even have streaming figured out from a purely technical perspective either, IMO. I hate the WatchESPN app because of that, it stops every 2 minutes it seems."They" still don't even have streaming figured out from a purely technical perspective either, IMO. Yeah id never survive, I zip through channels, especially during commercials like I get paid to do it.A lot of it is retraining yourself a little bit to watch TV via apps instead of the instant changing of a channel. The delay is definitely an issue for sports if you’re anywhere near a device
